Forums - Movies & TV - The Force Awakens sucks! *MAJOR SPOILERS*

I disagree... as someone who liked every Star Wars movie until now, I would rank The Force Awakens as #3 or #4.

Spoilers below:

Also, what you said about Kylo Ren is not true at all. Keep in mind that he was shot and badly hurt... then he fought Finn, and after that Rey. He started the fight doing much better, even being badly hurt and emotionally crushed, but she managed to even the odds at the end by letting the force guide her. I mean, ok, they pushed it a bit, but they also prepared all the excuses for her to "win". I bet that if she fought him fairly she would be crushed, even with the force "inspiration".

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Yeah, Kylo kinda took a shot from Chewy's crossbow canon which usually leaves a big blaster hole on Stormtroopers xD

True. He shouldn't even be able to walk after that, let alone fight 2 people. :P Yet he managed to, which clearly shows his strenght (or rage). I liked his character a lot.

Well I actually loved the movie, as did 95% of critics. I thought the plot was very well written. Yes, some things were not explained, but I think this was on purpose so we will be in suspense, and look forward to the next movie.

Playing Xenoblade 2 before I buy Xenoblade 3 (otherwise I couldn't wait to play 3).

Can they announce a new Fire Emblem? A remake of Genealogy or Tellius would suffice !

My biggest issue was that there was little explaination about the First Order, the Republic and also the fact the freaking capital of the republic went down that easily.

I still can't get over how before we were complaining about too much politics and now we're complaining about too little politics XD I know the reasons why (I don't need any explanations) -I just find it kinda funny in an ironic sort of sense

I still believe Ren woke up her force powers inadvertently when he was trying to mind read her. She knew after that encounter.

The only people I can see not enjoying this movie are people who didn't care that much about Star Wars in the first place.

The Force Awakens is everything that Star Wars represents. And complaining about "barebones plot" in a Star Wars movie is laughable. Looks like you don't even know what you're watching.

Don't know man, honestly I loved the movie. Not everything needed to be explained instantly as we know it's another trilogy. And to say it's worse than phantom menace is too much lol

I totally agree with metacritic here, deserved between 80-85 imo

That's what people do. I remember people complaining about Superman Returns being too boring and too much like the Richard Donner/Christopher Reeve films. When Man of Steel was released, people complained that has too much action and wassn't like the Christopher Reeve/Richard Donner films.
