The guy I quoted asked why would Nintendo fans fans buy a console just for one game when Sony/Micro fans didn't.

Going past the fact that there is no data that can confirm the affirmation that not a single Sony/Micro fan bought a Wii U for Bayonetta 2, I went past that, and gave an example of why Nintendo fans are not a reactionary group that does what the other fanbases do, the reason behind my comment.

I was not talking about the reason why fanbases buy consoles - what your argument is about - I was taking down an argument about Nintendo fans doing what Sony/Micro fans do with a straight example.

The fist post you quoted implied MS/Sony fans behave the same way of Nintendo fans about bayonetta.

Then you replied: "If Nintendo fans would do what the fan of the other companies do then they would buy those companies consoles to begin with." implying that N fans behave differently when buying consoles and games.

What I satated before is that your assumption is wrong. Every fanbase has the same attitude toward their consoles and games of preference. So, I basically awsered your question in the OP, a Bayonetta hardcore fan would probably buy whatever console gets the next entry of the series but there's no reason to extend that behaviour to Nintendo, Microsoft or Sony fanbases in general.

Only if it's the NX, but it would be the first game I bought in the franchise. The games look like they're for young teenagers.

Hell yes!! I loved the original game on Xbox a lot. I cant say I bought a WiiU just for Bayonetta 2, but it was one of the factors I couldn't skip getting a WiiU. I cant wait to play as Bayonetta in Smash and play Bayonetta 3 if it comes out.

P.S I almost bought XOne over PS4 cuz of Scale bound cuz that game is made by Hideki Kamiya, and thats a whole new series, so I think Bayonetta 3 might make me get a console.

Not for bay, but I have no brand loyalty because that's just silly. If I like a console I buy it regardless off who made it.

Now that people are celebrating Bayonetta on Smash Bros and that Nintendo fans have learned to love the crazy Bayonetta hack n' slah franchise I wonder...

If by any business decision PG goes for another console for a sequel to Bayonetta 2, those of you who are Nintendo consoles-Only happy gamers or that have no interest in buying another cosole, would you consider buying a PlayStation, Xbox, get into PC, or buy an Ouya, to play Bayonetta 3 if the game doesn't release on a Nintendo console?

 

No. I love Bayonetta 3, but it has to be more appealing to me if I'm going to buy it. If it has a very good catalogue of games, I'm in. I'm planning on buying a PS4 when it has a good catalogue for me, so this could apply to the next gens.
