Parents buy Christmas present for children at this time of year.  Children like Mario Kart.  I'd imagine parents are more likely to buy a new copy of a game rather than used due to the types of shops they buy from.

It is very impressive to see it back in considering it was a 2011 game, but stuff like this selling is par for the course for this time of year.

You know what I've just noticed missing that's kinda weird?  Pokemans.  Either X/Y or OR/AS.  I thought they'd be hot this time of year.

Not sure what to make of Gravity Rush on PS4. I guess expectations shouldn't be too high, so 25K opening is pretty reasonable. But hopefully it has legs and doesn't drop off the face of the earth within a couple of weeks. Gravity rush needs to establish a decent fanbase on PS4 so that Gravity Rush 2 can do well.

Nintento knows its home market and it is keeping Wii U relevant.

Yokai watch isn't doing pokemon any favours.  It's got stiff competition so it's no longer the de facto choice.  Will be interesting to watch this unfold over the next few years. 

Did you see the number of 3DS sold this week? Mario Kart DS appeared in the holiday top 20s for like 6 or 7 straight years. It's a very common title to pick up with a new purchase. I can't imagine what used game sales look like.

Japan is Nintendo Land. Also doesn't SMTXFE come out this month in japan?

Wow, Wii U topped PS4 again? I mean, I assumed it would happen again but later like when Star Fox or more likely Pokken released. Not when it had 0 relevant launches :P

Holiday bump my friend, I also saw it above Ps4 on Amazon Japan so I'm not too shocked. (But I do want to bring back up that quote from a certain someone)
