You probably didn't met any requirement to get some until July, when it was last updated.

I saw that the 100 posts badge "Leaving Limbo" doesn't seem to work anymore, but I also didn't got the 1000 posts badge "Littlest Genocide", when the update happened I went straight to the 5000 posts badge "Genocide".

How could I be a genocide without being a littlest genocide first xP

Hmm, I checked your wall and it did say you have that Littlest Genocide badge..

Though it is indeed strange that a lot of badges don't work anymore (or never had worked in the first place) so I think those really need to be fixed or removed..

From how badges were handed out the last few times, it seems like ioi has a "Update badges" button hidden somewhere. I could dig through the code to see if I can access it myself but I ain't promising nothing.

The Badge mess was going to be next on my 'stuff to ask Truck if he can do anything about' list xD

A number of them don't actually work either (primarily the date-based ones).

 

I love the Badges concept, and the names and designs we came up with were awesome, but its implementation absolutely blows. I never understood why it couldn't be autoamtically updated once a day or something (and never received an explanation as to why this was from the guy that implemented the idea).

Is that ioi or someone else?

Yeah, I've never understood why some badges don't work! For example, I've never got the badge for uploading an avatar or for reaching 100 posts.

There are quite a lot of badges that I've noticed do not work anymore..

- First Sign Up
- First Avatar
- Profile Completition (As it's impossible to complete now)
- Second Visit
- Leaving Limbo
- Visiting VGC on Holidays
- Been a veteran 6 years and onwards (Fixed)
