Forums - Gaming Discussion - Until dawn surpassed my expectations.

From reading so many comment's about Until dawn and how obvious it was to know who the Killer was, definetly didn't play the game, in some way i am glad i believed them. The impression i had of the game just made the plot-twist's so much better and the game just created more and more questions which actually made sense after a while.

This game is definetly underrated and i am excited that they are working on a new game, new settings and character's. They managed to capture the magick of the old classic Horror movies and just surpass every

expectations. I honestly do recommend that people don't spoil the fun by watching it all on YouTube, this is one of the few games which actually are quite sensitiv towards spoilers.

Until dawn are a horror-masterpiece in it's own right.

To me it was the best horror movie/game I have ever seen/played. I am not a big horror fan but Until Dawn was something special. In a way it was creepy as fuck when the sound was turned in hard. The replay value is also great since my first and second playthrough where really different as experience and my liking towards some characters.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

I wished Until Dawn had more branching pathways but overall the game was great!

That is a constant problem with these games, they give us the illution of a choice because we are still forced to go the same path, even though the story changes.. it only leave us feeling powerless because we can't do what we would have done IRL

Yeah, i am feeling the same! It actually feels like a movie but like 100% better at the same time, it forces you to feel like your a part of it all.

wait till they sort out a system to make the story more open, this genre will take off then. I've played about 5 different endings so far, love it. The game reminds me of Alan Wake in a way, with the slow but steady sales and that I really want a sequel so I'm always trying to convince more people to buy it! Cause once they do, they love it.

Yeah i hope this genre will take off, it's nice entertainment value in these sort of Horror settings!

You kinda get the feeling that you wanna do as much right as possible after the first game-through since one will do a lot of mistakes which kinda do shorten the thrill of the game!

Even in my later playthroughs just to find out all the options I still find it really hard to pick a dialogue option or action that isn't what i would do in real life! It feels like im betraying myself, haha. And I can't, for the life of me, keep the black guy alive! I don't know if its written in the game to do the whole,'black guy dies first' routine, but he keeps dying! haha

I love that about the game though, that it saves real quick, so if you mess up, you can't just re-do the scene, you have to either wait till the games completed and re-do the game from that chapter or start again!

One of the year's best experiences. I loved it.

I dont think its underated, ppl reviewed it very favorably and I agree it surpassed my expectations too, it was a very well put together plot and a fun to play game.
