Zelda games rarely sell above 6 million units. Although I don't think Horizon will come further than 5 million units sold. As for MC Zelda will easily score above 95, Horizon would be lucky to achieve a 90, but 80-85 seems more probable.

I think people need to be honest with themselves here, infamous ss hasn't sold 4 million copies, bloodborne  hasn't sold that number and UC4 is probably just getting close. Even with good praise do we really expect Horizon to break the Sony new IP curse?

The PS3 with an install base of 80+ million was home to many new IP and most of them never sold close to 4 million units. That being said Zelda BoTW will far surpass that number simply because this is probably the most sought after Zelda since Ocarina of Time and it will be on 2 platforms. I think on NX alone the game will probably outsell Horizon due to it being a launch title or close to launch title...

Infamous and Bloodborne where a lot more niche than horizon, besides both games surpassed the 2 million mark easily and I see Infamous hitting the 3 million mark. Besides Uncharted 4 is going to sell 5 million in it´s first year judging on how it goes so far, even halo can´t pull that magic. I am not yet convinced Zelda NX is going to outsell TP for instance, which did launch on the Wii and I don´t see the NX coming close to that. Sony has a few very succesfull IP´s that did break the 4 million mark during the PS3 era, one of them being the first littlebigplanet. Another one being Uncharted 1-2-3, The last of Us, God of War IIIand even motorstorm sold over 3.88 m units if we include digital. I don't see why Sony's most hyped IP since The last of Us couldn't do well and be their sales wise Uncharted/God of War IP of this generation.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

hmmm Zero Dawn really does look quite nice. I think critic wise Zelda will win scoring very high 90s. Sales wise thats a tough one really. Im leaning toward both hitting near 4million mark.

Either way its a win win both games look great.

Critic wise, Zelda will win. Easily a 95+ score on metacritic, while Horizon will be in the 85-95 range.

Sales wise... This is a hard one, probably THE hardest one to predict. I think it might be pretty close between the two of them, but Zelda will have longer legs - but that doesn't mean it'll win since Horizon has a bigger install base to sell to. Both games will cross the 5m mark

Graphically, yes Horizon wins, but Zelda will look better after 10-15 years because of the art style. Wind Waker aged better than GTA Vice City

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

I don't think so Sony's games don't tend to sell that well compared with Nintendo's I mean Mario Kart 8 managed to sell over 8 million on the Wii U and Pokémon Sun and Moon sold 7.5 million in its first week almost as much as Uncharted 4 has sold in its entire lifetime with it at 8.7 million and that's a well known series compared to Zero Dawn so I very much doubt it.

At the end I think zelda will be the winner of the 3, even graphics, yeah way weaker and less impressive but ridiculously beautiful.

It's a pretty meaningless comparison, in my opinion. They're both open world, but that's pretty much where the similarities stop.

Both will do really well sales wise, I also think Zelda will "win" on review scores. I wouldn't be all that surprised if Horizon sold slightly more, simply due to the large installed base and rising popularity of open world games in general. Zelda will have legs for sure, but I don't think the Switch installed base will ever get huge, and the Wii U, as we know, has a tiny installed base as well. Switch + Wii U version together should sell more than Horizon, if for no other reason than being an old, beloved franchise with two platforms to sell on, against a new IP by a developer whose biggest title to date has sold around 3 million or so (KZ3).

Horizon looks like a much more impressive development achievement, but Zelda has a great classic formula and nostalgia.

My 8th gen collection

Zelda is clearly breaking the formula they have been using for last 3 decades.

100% agree, horizon looks like one of the actual few "next-gen" games while zelda no matter its history, looks like a ps2 game ported to ps3
