In before:

"You missed xyz game from xyz year!" - Yes, I know, it's not an exhaustive list, just some pointers for more notable titles of the year.

"None" or "2014" - At least justify an opinion to get some discussion going

"Vita has no gaemz" - Keep that shit out of here please

Thanks!

For me, 2014.

I liked bits of 2012, but it was too "look western AAA!" and lacked a lot of quality. Gravity Rush; LBP; SSDD & LBP were good but the rest I could take or leave. Lacking in Japanese games.

2013 was a decent year - it was the last of the western AAA (Killzone/Tearaway) and was the start of the indie push with some great titles (Hotline Miami/Flower/Proteus). However, I felt it was kinda lacking Japanese titles again, outside of Dragon's Crown, Atelier & EDF.

2015 has been a bit of a dud for me. Steins;gate/Oreshika/Lost Dimension were great, and it's recovered in the final months with Bastion/LoH. But there were long runs where it was quiet and some games were let-downs for me, like DanganRonpa & Sword Art Online.

But 2014 was fab. Kicked off with a bang in Europe getting the localizations from the end of the year before (Ys/Sorcery Saga) straight into NISA's two surprises of the year (DanganRonpa/Demon Gaze), both of which I loved and didn't expect to. Got some great indies during that time like TxK and Fez. Then during the summer we had the HD Collection ports (GoW/Sly/Ratchet) and Borderlands for the last real bit of AAA on the console then tailing off into autumn/winter the localizations kicked in again - Sword Art Online/Tales/Akiba's Trip/DanganRonpa 2/Neptunia 1 etc.

I loved so many games in 2014. Unfortunately I do think it's the console's peak year and although I'm excited for stuff in 2016, I don't think it's ever again going to have the broad range of titles it had in 2014.

2012 followed by 2013

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Goddamn Totori always overshadowing Rorona. I'll never forgive her. I'll create an explosion on her face on purpose
Heh they're all too good, it's tough. Each had its own good points. 2012 and 2013 debuted great new IPs and had a great LBP entry. Then 2014 and 2015 were filled with Japanese goodness
You know I gotta give it to 2014 because of Rorona though. Plus, Neptune's western debut on Vita..

I came into this thread expecting to put 2012 duh!... but then looking at even just the small samples you've put, I actually can't pin down a specific year. Every year has actually been pretty awesome so far.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

I have so many Vita games....About 150. Maybe more. Around 30 of those are from PS+. It would be a pain to try to first group games by year, and then evaluate my collection on year by year basis. And obviously, I have not played them all. Half of them if I'm lucky. So, "can't make up my mind". I have launch games still sealed in the plastic wrap.

- "If you have the heart of a true winner, you can always get more pissed off than some other asshole."

2012 is my favourite since that's the year Persona 4 Golden came out, but really every year was awesome so far and 2016 looks like it will be as well.

2013 was the year for me. We got P4G (europe), Tearaway and Killzone, along with Soul Sacrifice.
2016 is looking more promising to me, since i'm planning to get World of FF, Dragon Quest Heroes 2 and Digimon.
