It's common practice to raise prices back up to MSRP before beginning a new sale. All retailers do this, as promotional discounts are generally based on the MSRP listing.

That said, the offer is still giving you 2 games for the price they had been asking for 1 of them, I'm not sure what the issue is here.

The fact that you can buy both The Order and Until Dawn at a much cheaper price together on Amazon as opposed to the ps4 Store even with the sale.

Not a big deal, just a crap "sale".

Monies and shiz.

This is an odd thread.

Everyone resets the price before they apply a new promotion. It's generally only clearance where discounts stack. If they did not, then it would be discount on top of discount on top of discount and no one would be making any money.

That's how retail has worked for decades. I thought it was common knowledge and I'm rather surprised to see that it is not.

Still dumb the way they went about it. Having the original psn store at least a month or so would've sufficed, instead of over pricing them right before the promotion.

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)

I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/  hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.

If Sony did it, they did it. Don't play the "It's okay because this other person did it" card. They were wrong, too.

If you're talking to me, and you're saying that it's wrong for a company to ever cancel one price reduction before they apply another promotion, then I'm going to seriously disagree with your idea of "wrong".  As someone who has worked retail all their life and has owned and managed two retail store-fronts, I find the idea of being entitled to perpetually stacked discounts to be even more wrong.  Pretty much every retailer does this, not because it's "wrong" but because it's would be absolutely fatal to do otherwise.  They'd either have to stop doing sales or they'd go out of business.

dear god,. is there anything the internet won't whine about.

This is a legitimate complaint. As i see it, this is simply bad practice.Even if Microsoft or Nintendo did this, they would receive the same backlash. Its like in some places that raises the price before the black friday just to "claim" that it is on sale when black friday comes. Its legal, but simply immoral.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
