You say that like I'm disappointed with it.  Whether they hide it or not the Vita is still bigger than the Wii U and the PS4 is doing way better than the 3DS especially software.

Edit: Turns out it was amiibo.  So you should retract the praise you just gave them until they actually announce new numbers.

No I don't retract it... Because they reveal its shipments every quarter, so the praise stays as is....

I'm not going to follow you into consoles war futile thing...;)

I don't deal with console wars I deal with facts.  All I'm saying is Nintendo don't deserve great praise for revealing wii u numbers. But I do appreciate them because I've said it's overtracked on this site so at least I have proof.

Congrats Nintendo. No need to mid gen jump now and start on whatever the NX is.

i know this report is proven wrong now but this is exactly what most people have been saying since the last shipment report. Wii U overtracked by like 200k. I have also been calling for Vita overtracked by about a million still. Don't know why onekartvita is coming in here talking about "dealing with facts" when we know so little about vita numbers, and we have evidence it is overtracked by a lot.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

Well it could have been worse.

Besides, Vita is basically on life support, you won't see a first-party game on Vita better than Mario Tennis and that is shameful.

rofl Nintendo revealed their WiiU numbers because they had to. They are responsible to report back to their investors how the company is doing every quarter. And since Gaming is their only business, they had to report Wii U sales numbers. Sony/Microsoft on the other hand, since they are in multiple businesses, they can choose not to report how specific businesses are doing if it is not a major part of their business.

Pathetic. I don't understand why Nintendo didn't ditch the gamepad after launch. It was clear it was going to hold down the console. Its been completely unnecessary with the major first party titles. Why did Nintendo require it if they didn't even know how to use it?

Until, this thread gets locked or edited...
It needs to be repeated that news were proved wrong eventually, as suspected since the source was vague! The number pertains to amiibo sales in the U.S.A, not wii u worldwide LTD sales.

The Wii U was a victim of bad marketing and poor design choice. The games though, are the best I've seen from Nintendo.

Despite the change in the article, they had sold through (not shipped) 10.73 million at the end of September. In all likeliness they have sold over 11 million by now given the last two Novembers they sold over 200,000 units in America alone.
