Forums - Gaming Discussion - Xbox boss wouldn't mind seeing Nintendo games on Xbox One

Xbox boss, Phil Spencer, has said he'd be happy to see Nintendo games on the Xbox One in the future.

Nintendo games on Xbox One? Don't mind if we do. And it seems Spencer wouldn't mind either.

When directly asked on Twitter whether we could ever see Nintendo games on Xbox One, Spencer replied "I'd be happy to see that".

The comment comes just days after the news announcement of the Microsoft-owned Minecraft arriving on Wii U for the first time.

Spencer said the whole thing was a very pleasant experience to be part of.

We expect the first Nintendo content we'd see were some Nintendo-themed Minecraft skins for the Wii U edition.

But Spencer went further into the debate by revealing past troubles in the relationship between Nintendo and Microsoft, especially when it comes to the Goldeneye license:

Now that's a game we'd love to see on Xbox One.

LMAO, of course he wouldn't mind that. Why would he mind getting more games on his console, good ones at that?

If Nintendo ever went 3rd party, imo it would be PS4 only.

I also would love to see Microsoft games in Nintendo consoles. They started well with Minecraft

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Pffffft....It's like saying 'No no, I really wouldn't mind playing disney movies in my cinema...'
Well, DUH!

For some reason I wanna see this parallel universe where Nintendo and Microsoft team up to take down PS4. That'd be one heck of a story. And it'll only be a story because it won't happen.

Yeah, Microsoft tried buying out Nintendo once. There were talks, but what really broke the deal was when Microsoft would have required Nintendo to stop making hardware and their software would only have appeared on a Microsoft console. Or maybe Nintendo never intended to make a deal but were just being cordial with Microsoft during their meetings. This happened before the original Xbox came out.

Nippon STRONK!

No one would mind Nintendo games on their console, they are great

I wouldn't mind it either, if MS gave Nintendo the responsibility to make games without any influence from MS themselves. Nintendo knows how to make software that sells bucket loads, they don't need someone how controls them in that department.
