To be honest, the PS4 has been stellar since launch and if it wasn't for MS PR brainwashing, we wouldn't be hearing this "PS4 has no gamez" nonsense. Right now the PS4 has a good amount of games by normal standards, but maybe a little quiet by PlatStation standards. Ok, PlayStation fans may have the right to complain a little because they are used to a high standard but most of the complaining seems to come from "other" fans that probably do not own a PlayStation and never will.

Look I'm not trying to start a fanboy war but we must remember that if Sony studios are a little quiet by their standards, that just means that the slight recession in 1st party games will be counteracted by more games at a later date. Looking at both release schedules for the PS4 and XB1 in 2016, the PS4 edges it with exclusives and I can only see more Sony studios due to release a game soon so if they both do announce more games for 2016, I can only see the PS4 expanding its list more.

In short, the PS4 has more fire power when it comes to first party studios so if it just had a "bad" year, then that just means more games at a later date. Now before we hear people shouting off, the Xbox will get good games but not just as good as PS4. Going by past track records the PS4 will always come out on top when it comes to games, discuss!

So why not just sum it up with "Xbox is going to suck this gen and have less 3rd party games, less 3rd and 1st party exclusives"?.

I mean at the end of the day this is basically what these "opinion" pieces boil down to, one console is going to get utterly dominated like a couple into BDSM while also getting utterly handed out on the street to a point where everyone won't care about it, that's what I get from these pieces time and time again, especially when we haven't finished the gen to start stating facts once all results are in and recorded.

I haven't even seen any fanboys say "PS has no games in quite a while". Maybe I'm just not paying attention.

There is certainly a lot to look forward to on PS4 next year.

SFV, Uncharted 4, R&C, Gravity Rush 2, Last Guardian, GT Sport, Horizon.

Stuff that Sony aren't directly involved with but are some kind of exclusive, like DQ Builders, Persona 5, Nioh, Nier 2, Ys 8, probably quite a few more that I can't remember right now. Those are the ones I am interested in at least.

X1 can't match that for me, but has a decent looking line-up too. QB, Crackdown 3, Gears 4, ReCore, Halo Wars 2 and Scalebound all look good and I'm looking forward to playing them.

Looks like it is going to be a great year. Wouldn't surprise me if it ended up being the best of the gen for PS/Xbox combined.

Not really a opinion, but a obvious prediction.

Xbox One is def. falling far behinde when it comes to games..... but its probably tied abit to the amount of sales each console has.

The more sales your console does, the more people want to develope games for it.
Theres alot of 3rd party that just dont bother doing xbox one releases.

Its going to start showing in 2016, and go on from there.
Die hards will defend the xbox one, by saying it has less games but they suit their tastes better ect.

I've not seen much of it on VGC in a while (though a few users still seem to insist the PS4 has no AAA exclusives, only indies), but in places like YouTube 'ps has no gaemz' is still going strong :p
