Tomorrow is either going to be a HUGE surprise or an embarrassment.

Whatever the outcome, someone is going to get a huge surprise and someone is going to be embarassed. We just don't know who yet.

The only thing I want is for Amazon not to lose its streak. It really only takes one failed month for Amazon to go back to being a seal clubbing party. If Xb one wins NPD with Amazon giving November to PS4 and with the CoD and SWBF pre-orders being factorerd in it would really be a major black mark on the predictive value of Amazon. Essentially Amazon would only be a useful predictor if there are no significant influences in the market that are not reflected in Amazon's charts. Like the Gears bundle gift card deal. If that was as big of a factor as VGC seems to be showing then because the gift card deal was absent from Amazon it means Amazon gave a highly distorted view of the over all market. Having only a minor market share of console hardware Amazon is subject to such things, so as long as external factors are known then it will still be possible to use Amazon as a NPD predictor most months of the year.

Considering NDC was #1 for the month and Gears bundle was #8, it does mean Xb one finished fairly close to PS4 on the Amazon charts. And it doesn't take too many external factors favouring Xb one for the the country-wide result to come out in favour of Xb one.

TBH I think VGC is more likely to have underestimated PS4 hardware (and possibly over-estimated Xb one hardware) for CoD week and SWBF week. Provided Xb one's 2014 BF week is approximately correct we know the Xb one number for BF week is about right as MS announced a 22% YoY increase. So the question is whether PS4 got above 767K for the week. That would represent a 317% increase in PS4 sales compared to the 380% increase in Xb one sales.

NPD doesn't give weekly sales numbers so with a close PS4 win you won't know for sure whether VGC got this week wrong or previous weeks wrong. VGC has Xb one winning November by 75K right now. VGC could adjust the previous 3 weeks by a net 30K per week and PS4 would win the month without changing the BF week numbers at all. The only way BF week can be demonstrably wrong is of PS4 wins so big in NPD that there is no conceivable way PS4 built up that lead from the first 3 weeks of the month and also lost BF week by >80K.

It will be interesting to see whether NPD does say which console won BF week, or even just BF. Has NPD announced the BF winner in the past?

I think either Sony or MS will combine the BF win within their NPD PR statement. If MS wins BF, Sony will claim they won BF worldwide.

Ubisoft won't be happy with the placing of Assassin's Creed Syndicate at all... Sadly really showing that people have lost faith in the franchise after the Unity fiasco! Shame as it's a pretty good installment.

I don't think they will get back to last gen numbers unless they release another numbered version, i.e. Assassin's Creed V

I don;t think they will be happy with the XB one performance. But the PS4 sales seem to be reasonable.

But if you consider that half of ACU's sales on Xb one came from the bundle, then lacking a bundle and up against some quite significant competition these numbers are not terribly surprising. Ass Creed needs to get off the annual cycle and just be published as numbered sequels every 2-3 years. I would say ACV published in 2017, assuming it is a good game, would sell close to 7th gen numbers.

Looking at these numbers shows that third party games do succeed on the WiiU. With the games Disney Infinity, Lego Diminsions, Skylanders Super Chargers and Just Dance all selling more then their counter parts on consoles with a much higher user base.
What's that EA, Ubisoft, Activision, and Square Enix?

splatoon over halo 5? how did that happen? I know splatoon has a bundle but could it be heavily bundled?

Not only that, but Splatoon was 25 dollars in many stores. So i guess that helped move alot of units

i think you mean 1 store, not many stores, and limited quantity.   It was 35 dollars at a couple other places and more at others.
