Your jumping the gun there. Ps4 had a reason for the jump. Wiiu might beat it this Holiday.

The PS4 is up YOY more than any other console. It's up about 130%!!!!!!!

Seriously don't underestimate the ps4 first half of 2016.

This isn't even a little bit true. 6 games have sold over 500k on the Wii U in Japan so far (NSMBU, MK8, Splatoon, Wii Party U, Smash Bros. U and SM3DW) with Super Mario Maker nearing that mark. It's about to have 3 one million sellers (NSMBU, MK8 and Splatoon). Not to mention the relatively smaller successes that have sold over 200k like Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Pikmin 3, Nintendo Land and Dragon Quest X.

Comparing that with the PS4, which doesn't have a single game that has sold over 500k in Japan (which includes fairly big titles such as MGSV, Dragon Quest Heroes and Bloodborne).

Yes, the Wii U was out for an additional year or so beforehand but even if we consider that, that only removes one game from the Wii U's list and it's still left with 5 more. The reality is that the PS4 gets a lot of 3rd party support, but hardly any of the titles sell massively like 1st party titles on Nintendo's systems. Only Final Fantasy XV is a guaranteed million seller, in my opinion. FFVII has a pretty good shot and DQXI a bit of a chance.

Finally, I really wouldn't make claims like that regarding the NX, which we know very little about. If it really is a fusion system, then 3rd parties will flock to it due to the handheld side at the very least. Japanese 3rd parties have already been in talks of supporting it anyways, but we'll see how it goes.

I think you miss understood what I meant or else I said it wrong.  I mean like it's got a few new releases recently but they all bombed.  

 

Regarding the ps4 those 2 big games were multiplatform and not only on ps4. Only bloodborne was exclusive. 

 

It was only a side comment so if it was out of line I take it back.

MHX also has over 300k digital. It's well over 2.1mil with stock problems

Let's not forget that many games are ps3+ps4 in japan so without those games being on ps3 the situation would look a bit different (oh and let's give the ps4 one more year and make a comparison then)

Impressive jump with for the Wii U with the only new release selling 7k but being backed by 2 massive hits that won't slow down just yet.
