Forums - Gaming Discussion - Star Wars Battlefront was designed for 8 year olds

It's just a super easy game compared to other multiplayer FPS games. So I agree, applies to all ages. I like competition and I will not find that with Battlefront so I do not play it. Others like something casual and this game is better suited for them.

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

I am just annoyed that some people think that in order for this game to have more "depth" is for it to be more violent and graphic. Being T rated is the least of its (minor) problems. I thoroughly enjoy the game and am having a blast. I just want more maps for free.

When people speak of depth it generally means gameplay options, styles and map designs which are good for tactics which experienced hardcore gamers can get a challenge in conquering and using to their advantage against lesser gamers. Every major shooter today has a balance which gives newbs a chance and experienced gamers the challenge they crave.

Now we know the aim market.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

A more complicated game can be a hell of an obstacle for the casual gamer. They need to "dumb it down" to reach as many people as possible. Over Thanksgiving weekend, I had visitors trying to play Gears of War 2 and to my shock and disgust, even that game was too hard for them! They were having a good time, though. Us "REAL" gamers need to look the other way sometimes and realize that there are other people that want to play besides us.

Maybe they should add a professional mode or something.

considering i hate EA, know nothing about star wars and generally am not into FPS like battlefield and COD, i LOVE BATTLEFRONT!
(of course helps that i only paid $5 for the deluxe edition)

Well...duh. The game is made first and foremost for Star Wars fans, regardless of age or how much they game. If it were super deep and hardcore it would turn off their primary market.

I am enjoying it though. I have COD, Battlefield, and Killzone for more hardcore experiences. I'm happy with having a more casual shooter.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

You can make a game accessible and not go overboard dumbing it down. The games not going to have any legs as a result. People still look back on games like KOTOR or even the first Battlefront years later. No one will do that with this one.

U stupid
it was for 7 year olds

It is missing depth. I'd rather more content than depth though. It is what it is. There are more complex shooters to play if I want that experience.
