I'm getting it for gameplay. I just bought Dementium: Remastered for 3ds and it's awful. But it's still fun some how. That's really all that matters in the end.

Are controls, framerate, and AI not elements of gameplay?

You are right. They are, but gameplay can still be fun despite a few shortcomings.

Well, ultimately, it's your money to spend as you please.

I'd strongly advise against it, but the choice is yours.

Have you played much?

Only a little. Couldn't stomach it for long.

Have watched pretty much the whole game though.

Durring the media lynching that happened durring the European release I looked everywhere for a video review. All the bad scores had no video just written reviews. Not ign, Gamespot, or anyone made a video review. So I watched a bunch of user reviews which I normally don't do. Surprisingly, the user video reviews all liked the game and from what they explained I decided I would like it too. It looks really fun to me. I'm not picky about technological stuff as long as the action is tight!

Hmm. The video review came a week after the EU release. I must have given up looking by then. It reads off word-for-word from the written review. Which is a bit wierd because the video shown doesn't match what he's saying. He says all these bad things but everything in the video looks awesome!

Nope

Pretty much every criticism in the review is accurate in my opinion.

The footage is overly flattering as it doesn't show the framerate seizures, glitching, streaming issues, and other rough spots that regularly occur.

I understand why that technological stuff would be a turn off for most everyone. The repetetive melee stuff will annoy me. But as long as I can shoot my way through most of the game I'll be happy. I'm definately buying Devil's Third. I want Valhalla to go on to make more action games. It'd be a shame if they didn't grow. We've all gotten so used to games that are near perfect and reach beyond our expectations. Devil's Third can't do that but It looks fun.
