Tripe like FIFA tops the chart and Xenoblade X languishes *shakes head*. Bloody casuals, now I know how Sony and Microsoft fans felt when casual Wii and DS games were topping the charts.

Good result for Xenoblade. Interesting to see Minecraft Story Mode having legs now. That retail release is a joke though (episode 1 and everything else downloadable).

Wii U exclusive ‘Xenoblade Chronicles X’ debuts at No28 with sales up 73% on the launch week of the original Xenoblade Chronicles, which released on the Wii in 2011.

chart says splatoon is 28 while xenoblade is 34. something is wrong.

28 is combined formats, 34 is individual formats. Not great numbers for XCX. But what does this tell people that it debuted higher than Wii with a tiny fraction of the Wii install base? What it tells us is that install base doesn't always matter.

Disagree. It's like ~ 4k higher than Zestiria/Dragon Quest Heroes, iirc. We have to take niche games for what they are these days and I feel like this is a pretty good result for what it is.
