Forums - Sony Discussion - The truth about PSX reactions: you are all spoiled and complain too much

I imagine this is a response to the many of the opinions on the other thread about the PSX opening conference?

Honestly I don't know where to start with this. I mean, first of all, I don't think many people graded PSX on its overall event, but only the conference they had. I am sure no one will argue that the whole event is great. Who can deny being able to attend many panels, participate in events, and demo many games on the show floor? Not many. Also, opinions are subjective, so you can't really claim someone's opinion is wrong and claim yours is right. They are opinions after all. And while you may claim to not be attacking the general crowd, it sounds like you are doing just that, calling everyone ignorant on I'm uncertain of what criteria, and saying it's our faults, as if it is truth.

Honestly, it seems more so that you are upset that not everyone agrees that the PSX conference was a good show and write off any criticism as if the PSX was free of any, and anyone who does is in the wrong. Seeing as there are many on both sides who share similar opinions do have some merit in their claims and you should try to see it in their point of view, rather than disregard it and claim we are at fault.

Or maybe people were just bored/not interested in what was shown/disappointed in the show and have a perfectly valid opinion that it sucked.

Also, it's beyond stupid to compare your enjoyment of the event being someone who was there live versus people who watched it online. Maybe email this to Sony and ask them not to broadcast it next year?

There were parts of PSX I loved. and parts I hated. And I can say that about every single conference ever. I wanted more, then again the gamer in me always wants more. So I'm generally happy with what I got.

For those that thinks it sucks, I look at events like these as juts part of a whole. At the end of the day, all these conferences most potent content are usually always games that we usually don't get to play for at least a while. So there is always that. So for me, I look at all that's shown and focus on when most of that is gonna be released. So all the stellar year of announcements that this was has done for me is tell me that next year is gonna be awesome.

Can't wait till next year so we get more announcements telling us how awesome 2017 is going to be. When you look at conferences that way, it kinda changes everything.

Not seeing bends game or gow4 just tells me that those games are nowhere near ready and are gonna come in 2017.

Whoops, didn't realize my opinion was wrong. Let me try again: 10/10 presentation

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

I think it's because most of the people complaining are only talking about the Keynote ALONE and not the event itself. Although I think many of them think PSX itself is just that 2 hour keynote. LOL

g00by pls

Yea I went into the keynote with average expectations and got average results so I gave it an average score. I would love to be there for the full event; color me jelly

Watching the Capcom Cup. Its all right I suppose. But the keynote was terribad. What is the point of all these announcements if they're all just gonna be on every other device? At this point you can call it a generic 3rd party experience.

It's not just PSX, it's the same crap in pretty much every thread we have for any conference.

Basically, we always have a lot of people in these threads whining that the show "sucks" because it's showing games that do not interest them. I mean, what the heck. Is it really so hard to understand that everything does NOT have to appeal to everyone? It makes me feel like half the thread is filled with entitled children. Perhaps I just hold this forum to a slightly higher standard but these whiners seem to want to bring down the enjoyment of everyone. "This is boring, I don't like this game, momma I wanna go potty." Goddamn, pull your big boy pants on.

Every year, every fucking year, they show CoD footage. I shrug, as it's not something that interests me much, and wait patiently for them to move on. I know there are tons of people who like CoD. And yet, every single year, we get someone who acts bloody surprised that they're spending time on CoD, or any other big franchise which supports this industry, and they start whining.

Not because there are screw ups in production. Not because something is wrong with the presentation. No, they whine simply because they don't like the game and think everything has to center around them.

You know what? It doesn't. Get over it or, at the very least, stop crying about it like a sleepy toddler. It's so damn annoying, especially when it's the same people time after time. Yes, I know you don't like CoD, or Assassin's Creed, or shooters, or indies, or whatever, and no, I don't actually give a fuck.

Personally, I like to see smaller games getting time at these events, since they are often games that lack exposure and which I might never notice otherwise. At the same time, though, I partially dread when they show these games because the threads turn into, "wah, wah, this r boring, blockbuster, AAA, AAA, wah, wah," from people who apparently think there are enough "megatons" to pack every minute of every show throughout the course of an entire year.

The conference was boring, of course most of us can´t judge the event because we weren´t there, but as far as the conference goes we all can say what we want about it, and bottom line it was boring.

you mean maybe pc in some time in the future?

I mean we had ratchet and clank, uncharted, yakuza, ni no kuni 2, fullthrottle, Zodiac, Ni-oh as ps4 exclusive and more stuff exclusive for VR like Ace combat, Psychonauts VR: Rhombus of Ruins and golem and game like street fighter 5 who will never appear on another console maybe also that moba game in the end (?)

man I really have to ask if there were some announcement not comming to another platform ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I start to doubt that some people who talk about this conference even watched it.
