Forums - Sony Discussion - The truth about PSX reactions: you are all spoiled and complain too much

I am very disappointed in gamers reactions to PSX; specifically on this site.

Between people calling it a huge letdown of a conference to ratings of 2/10 and the likes.... Its honestly a bit ridiculous.

Now, let me preface this by saying you are indeed allowed to have your own opinion. Even if it's wrong.

Let me give you guys some knowledge. PSX is not E3. It's not PAX. Its not Tokyo game show. Ect...

PSX is 100% fan service. Its not meant for huge blockbuster game announcements. Frankly, announcing huge games at the start of December's holiday season is a terrible business move that takes attention off the games that are already released and carrying the sales through Christmas.

PSX is meant for fun. A cool little in between fan requested event that is supposed to be fun.

If you only watched the 1.5 hour conference on a stream and judge the entire event based off that? You are ignorant. The event is two days jam packed with SO much more than just the conference.

I was there. Actually I'm still here. And unlike the streamers I have a lot more to see and do here.

The booths are very diverse.  Two floors of amazing games being shown off of all kind. Indie games, AAA games, VR games; they're all here. Games you never heard of. Games you've never seen. Its a blast.

There are tournaments. For example I got picked for a Rocket League tournament live on stage with a crowd watching and everything. It was an absolute blast. So much fun.

Basically; I'm not trying to attack you guys. Its not really your fault that you are ignorant. But unless you actually come to the event and have a great time with video games all around then you shouldn't look down upon the event with false expectations based off a keynote that you wanted to be like E3.

I thought it was good, I was hoping SSM or Bend, but I liked what they announced and it got me excited for next year.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

As Shuhei Yoshida said, "this year has probably been the biggest year in terms of big announcements in his career". He also said that "Sony plans its shows and that E3 and Paris Games Week were planned for big-name announcements and that PlayStation Experience was always going to focus on the smaller games and indies". So indeed people's expectations were misplaced. But wearing that Crash t-shirt was still a dick move roflamo

After E3 I expected no updates or new TLG stuff at TGS and PGW, therefore its (relative) absence did not disappoint me. I did expect something at PSX. That was all I needed, no need for GOW4 or Sony bend announcement, and couldn't even give me that, so I'm not gonna be soft on them.. Because already low expectations were not met!
The fact that Level 5's game is Ni no kuni 2 instead of something else also disappointed but that's just me

Well excuse me for not getting hyped about games i played 20 years ago and VR which i can't use

You cant really be dissapointed if its the 4th conference by them. The competion had only 2

Psx confrence waa shit.

Deal with it

Not only that.People that are complaining and saying the show was bad must be at the very least insane. We got a new trailer for Uncharted 4, FF7R AND Ni No Kuni 2.Those three games alone makes the conference awesome, even if some parts were dull, like VR.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

As a huge PS4 fanboy I was disappointed by this years PSX.

A) Dropped the ball on backward compatibility.
B) No God of War IV
C) I'm sure there's a reason behind it but they've been teasing Crash for too long now without saying a word.

The conference itself was packed with games, but there weren't any real surprises and PSVR could have been marketed better.

My opinion isn't any more wrong than yours is right btw.

This is so true. With four different keynotes, not every single one can be a major megaton-filled blowout. Plus they have stated before that PSX focuses on smaller things.
