I think it's because Xbox outsold them in the US last week based on vgchartz numbers. MS is already offering pretty amazing bundles at the moment and I think they are confident with that. Sales in the US will be very close up until Christmas. Either way, both are great consoles to own. Happy gaming to all :o)

I think also that MS are probably finding a significant portion of the 360 userbase have been upgrading this holiday season helped by some major releases and backward compatibility. This would be ensuring the steady flow of strong sales without the need for another price cut. I'd imagine however that a post holiday price cut may be needed to maintain momentum.
