Smash Broadcast?

We already know that something Pokemon is being announced around the same time, because CoroCoro were teasing a pokemon announcement for their December issue. It's rare that a CoroCoro announcement isn't actually announced ahead of the release of the issue - they often get exclusive information related to the announcement, but the announcement itself gets done first.
CoroCoro releases on December 15th, officially, which usually means leaks start happening a few days earlier. This coming week is the obvious time for the announcement.
Pokemon Z is likely. But I'm going to make a slightly more extensive prediction - I think the Pokemon Z announcement and the Smash presentation are going to be one-and-the-same. No, I'm not saying Pokemon Z is Smash. Just that they'll use the same presentation for both titles. It would explain why they didn't call it a "Smash Bros Direct".
Why would they do both at once? New pokemon in Smash Bros, of course.

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]
I'm hoping for something exciting like a new Wii U game announcement or the next Pokémon installment, but I'm expecting something minor like new content for Splatoon.
I think they will br announcing dates for the announcements of:
- The special Smash Direct
- The release date of Nintendo Account in NA (not quite sure if this is done already)
- The date of a special live conference of NX
- Maybe they will announce their progress on the "theme parks" they were kinda working.

The smash direct they announced will be the last one. Which means we'll get smash ballot results, incoming characters, and dates. Not just Cloud.
Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Maybe the new account system/Club Nintendo replacement? I know it already rolled out in Japan, but this could be a worldwide update.
Other than that, probably the Smash Direct like everyone is assuming.
