They need to release battlefont 2 lol.

Well I guess, I will have to wait for Rogue Galaxy to go on sale at some point. No way I'm spending $15 on an old game that is digital only.

$10 I can live with.

Aren't those prices pretty steep and isn't there any way for those who've already bought those games to get them for free?

If you bought gta 5 or metro 2033 on ps3 you didn't get it for free on ps4.

If you bought crash bandicoot or spyro on ps1 you didn't get it free on ps3.

I know, and that's cheap of the publishers as well. If the big three are serious at establishing digital as the future going forward, the need to seriously rethink their pricing strategy. The way they are treating it now is mostly a joke honestly, ripping of fans every chance they get.

Not really.  each console was always so different.  Ps4 being on the x86 architecture means in future they've no excuse be it PS5/6 but now they do.

This is ground zero.  if their plan is all current purchases will work on the PS5 and onwards it's fine.

Sony need to make money.  They're not a charity.  People like me are happy to pay for these.  if you don't want them dont get them.  Like is buying San andreas not worth it for $15? Of course it is,  that's the price of 3 pints I'd drink at a bar in an hour or a chicken supreme I'd buy in a restaurant.

$15 is nothing.

No way at those prices. My absolute top price would be $10. $15 for very early PS2 launch title. That's a joke.

Almost a theft

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Disc based BC along with digital option would be 4ThePlayers

Instead, Sony is going ballsdeep 4TheProfits

And the pricing......Sony is Sony again

I cannot imagine toilet-free life.

Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

these old games should not be more than $5-10.

Hmm I think the pricing seems fair. I mean PSOne classics are $5.99, and $9.99 for the iconic games. So PS2 being $9.99/14.99 seems right. 1) Correct me if I'm wrong but Nintendo charges more on the eShop for N64 games compared to Sony with PSOne games.

Perhaps the best pricing model to net more digital revenue would be pricing all games $5.99 for PSOne classics and $9.99 for all PS2 classics.

2) And make PSP emulation possible as well! PS4 and PS3 should run PSP games too, priced at $8.99 for all software. It would only push more digital sales by giving the software access to two more problems.

3) However, they should give access to the games for people who have already bought them.

4) Not sure how the emulator works, but I think it should be possible to just enable the PS4 to play PS2 discs as well. My guess is the currently released games were tweaked to be able to run, so not every game is currently compatible/run-able.

1) Which is just as wrong as well... Nintendo are greedy as f*** with the prices of old console games as well.

2) that would be pretty neat. If you look at emulators like PPSSPP, they dont seem that demanding and the CPU in the PS4 could probably pull that off.

3) Yeah I think that would be the best option as well.

4) Just barely, the CPU inside the xbox one and PS4 arnt really monsterfully strong ones. If we go by something like what PCSX2 needs.

You can play PS2 games in 1080p on PC.
