Forums - Gaming Discussion - Far Cry Primal vs WiLD?

Which looks more interesting to you?

I'm more excited for WiLD, cause playing as basically Bran Stark and taking direct control of animals sounds a lot more fun than just taming them.

Far Cry looks more fun but possibly less interesting. The entertainment value of Far Cry games comes mostly from taking out groups of enemies. Everything else is kind of a drag, especially those annoying psychedelic scenes which I know are coming. It will be enjoyable to take over camp after camp while avoiding the story missions as much as possible.

WiLD looks like it might have more depth.

Luckily, I can play both.

WiLD, obviously. I've seen gameplay of both and WiLD is doing new things. Primal honestly looks like it could have been dlc for FC4.

I honestly never care much about WiLD ( or FarCry Primal for dat matter ), i've probably missed something since there were a lot of things showed at Sony PGW 2015.
Anyways, I think i will take a look :).

Sums up my thoughts.

Ok, so i just watched again and Eurogamer just spot-on:
"Ride a bear! Be a rabbit! Fly around a bit as an eagle! Something about a snake lady! It's looking lovely, isn't it?"

It's a sold for me. This Open World is really somethin :3.
I actually really like the visual of the game, even tho it isnt looks as spectacular as Horizon Zero Dawn or Uncharted 4 but there is something about it that really intriguing.
@BasilZero
I just checked the wikipage, there is a singleplayer mode as well :).

This is not a vs. Us hunters appreciate any game that lets you roam the wilderness. Both are day one.

Interestingly I think it will be the other way around. FCP will have pretty fleshed out mechanics and will be able to mix things up as good as possible while I expect WiLD to be more shallow. It might have more possibilities compared to FCP but I will assume since it is a low budget game that those will only be rudimentary and the mechanics as well as the story won't be as polished or deep as in FCP.

You might be right about WiLD.  The early trailers made it feel very deep and emotional but the last game-player trailer just had that random quest feel to it.  Time will tell.  At least it will have a degree of newness to it.  I expect to be able to dive right into Primal, though.  I know without doubt that it's going to be fun to play.  I'm also assuming, however, that the story is just going to be a mechanic used to control the pace of my progression on the world map.

Wild, already got bored of Far cry midway through 3
