Just a rumour people, no need to get all bent out of shape.

First off, if you already have an iPhone, this does NOT apply to you. Keep using what you have.

All what has to be said.

I weigh my options each time I buy a new smartphone. The iPhone is unmatched now. It may not be the best option for me a year later. Who knows. Who cares that much about a phone that won't be released until a fucking year from now, seriously!

The Apple obsession is real... and most of is coming from the haters who accuses others of being obsessed and sheepish. Jeez.

I never use my headphone jack anyways. I have an ipod classic that i use for all of my music.

NEW YORK— Is the headphone jack on the iPhone going the way of the iPod? According to the latest rumors, the answer is yes.

Although the latest iPhone 6S and 6S Plus are bound to be popular gifts this holiday season, that hasn't stopped the Internet from speculating on what will be in Apple's next iPhone. According to Japanese blog Macotakara, Apple will be getting rid of the 3.5 mm headphone jack that has been standard on iPhones and other devices for years.

My initial reaction was one of vehement disgust, and I still don't believe the alternatives  (Wireless/Bluetooth) warrant the costs. What doest thou think?

Hmm, so I guess that means Samsung Galaxy S8 will be the first Android phone without a headphone jack.

Lmao.

I can't see why this is a problem. Non wired headphones is the way forward man.

Add me if you want but let me know youre from this website

They probably want to make the phone even thinner so that they can release bigger hunchback battery cases for it.

As long as Android phones don't do that I'm fine. Basically.

But like many I feel they will follow soon enough.

Here comes the $3000 bluetooth Beats , would be funny if they did it, bring me back in time to my N-Gage having to use an adapter to use normal headphones in it.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

I guess at some point phones will be hermetically sealed without any physical ports.

Samsung will eventually bring the SD Card slot back with the S7 atleast rumors seem to indicate that so lets hope they keep the headphone jack as well.

That can't be true, I don't think apple is that stupid

Very sure Apple is that 'stupid', for the simple fact that from a Apple business point of view it's actually pretty smart to do this.
Pushing you're own standards, making (or forcing, whatever you want to call it) people buy more of your products, because they only work with your devices, is pretty smart... When the masses give into it.

How many people actually do you see, who use a iPhone. Don't use the headphones that come with it. It's a rare site. I'll see maybe 3 people have other headphones. In the sea of white appleness. Just walking around for an hour. They already get the sales. This seems like a waste of time. To just make the phone thinner. Beacuse they just make a Lightning version, and move on. I don't use Bluetooth for the fact I have to charge another freaking thing. I forget to charge my phone a lot of times. Now I have to remember that, on top of it.
