Forums - Gaming Discussion - Best Selling Console Does Not Equal Best Console.

Let me clear it up:

The console that sells the most may or may not be an indicator of subjective quality.

Of course... the 'best' console is always subjective and varies depending on person

Wasn't the Wii the best selling console last generation.

A best selling console can have a variety of variables. Price, launch date, adoption, etc.

............and finally the best selling console is not always the most powerful, again I use the Wii as an example.

My Console of choice is Xbox One. You choose what you like.

Just food for thought.

People are choosing what they like.  Are you sure you are okay with that?

Drugs, man. Drugs...

I agree since "best" and "better" have always been a matter of subjective.
I believe the PS4 is the best for console gaming in this gen. But ofc, lot of others would disagree and trying to disprove it.

Best is relative to the individual but... in the US, the winners of each generation were NES, Genesis, PS1, PS2, 360 and now, PS4. Out of those, only the 360 didn't have the best library (imo). NES, Genesis, PS1, PS2 and PS4 all had or have currently, the most varied catalog. The 360 didn't have more vaired set of games, but it had by FAR the best UI and best online service, so that's what carried it over PS3.

No, it's just likely to get the most support. That's the only reason it makes any difference.

The PS5 Exists.
