Forums - Gaming Discussion - Why are reviewers putting so much emphasis on story rather than gameplay/replayability?

What are u talking about? Cam u explain me the why so many platforms are getting so many great reviews, despise the fact those usually don't even have a story. ..?

It depends.. If a certain game focuses more on story ( or the story is as important as the gameplay), then the game should definitely be criticised if it doesn't a good job in that department. That's not the case for something like Mario or Rayman of course.

Because in some games the story it´s just as important as the gameplay

Yep, as simple as that. Also, I'd say that OP is overstating (a bit...) with "reviewers putting so much emphasis...", I don't see it being the case too often.

    CU......or CF ?

Are you on crack? Nintendo is the developer who constantly gets 9s in reviews for all of their games (until they started to release really crappy games this year). And here you are complaining reviewers are short-sticking Nintendo?

Where's the story in Bayonetta 2? It has the most horrible story ever.

Nothing wrong with a good story. honestly if every game had replay value then we would only buy like 5-10games a generation lol
