Well opinions are subjective. I think you mean opinions are objective.

That's deep.
Also, ice is cold. And ice is warm.

In my opinion, the new Tomb Raider are titles objectively better than Uncharted and Far Cry.

The fact is that TR reboot and RoTR are trying to be like Uncharted, whcih makes Uncharted better since TR changed to copy its style.

People who repeat this stuff should go back and play the Tomb Raider remake that launched right before the first Uncharted. They were already adding elements from your average modern action game long before Uncharted became popular. The whole industry is making action games like this now and it started before Nathan Drake came along.

Thats all well and good, but they continued to take from modern games. Uncharted was built off of the primary ingredient of Tomb  Raider in platforming and tropes, but outside of that they took from lesser known industry games like Killzwitch and Winback like Gears of War did. Of course RE4 set the standard and pace for what they were going to do so a lot of other features came from that. Both games took what over the shoulder tps shooters of the past did and made them one of the primary forms of shooters for a new generation.

That aside Rise of the Tomb Raider had some moments that were bordering on level (but not quite) of Uncharted 2. I dont want to spoil it for many others but even Last of Us like systems with parts strewn on the floor and you putting them together to make bombs  in bases and camp areas made it completely easy for me to know when I was about to go into battle. In the last of us you found parts anywhere and made them into the bomb. In Tomb Raider they are instantly formed once you take find the vessel (can, bottle, gasoline cannister.). Far cry 3 was even more obvious this time than last time. The whole hunting, crafting system as well (its also sad that all tombs are optional) even in Uncharted the dumb-level easy places he goes to are manditory to progress. How can a tomb Raider have all tombs be optional? Damn.

That aside, Im glad that game got itself on its feet because I am going to need an Uncharted like game once Sony retires Nathan to make a new character to carry the banner for Sony this gen.

I agree with you. Still not finished because my goddam job won't let me take a week or with pay just to play the game. Anyway, I was like "Get the hell outta here, Jonah. Nobody likes you." when he reappeared.

Loving it and recommend it to anyone. The puzzles are my favorite part followed by the gunplay.

its cool, bro. Take your time. The game is long enough so soak it in. I also think you should complete all of the tombs. It helps tremendously. You dont even really need to search them but you can.

I really liked Far Cry 4. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Care to tell me what you liked about it? Thank you for the vote of confidence.

I loved Far Cry 3 & 4 but found TR reboot very average.

As someone have said the level design was badass with the game being linear yet allowing exploration.

In terms of gameplay, the only thing I'm looking forward to in RotTR are the tombs. I don't care about upgrades or the story as the LC gets on my nerves. She is like a Bollywood drama queen thanks to the writers. It's a shame they didn't make all tombs part of the main story, making them optional instead. Will have to pick it up when it hits £20-30 on PS4.

Its been a year, so I dont remember everything.

I liked the characters. The open world is gorgeous and huge. The setting is just perfect.

I recall reclaiming Kyrat as very rewarding. When you capture a point(radio tower, outpost, etc) you really feel like you have expanded your operating zone. At 1st you feel like a nobody in foriegn land with a people how are on the verge of collapse then as you progress you are the hero and the world opens up. There are stupid amounts of collectables, but the game does not make you get them all. I think its around 50% if you are going for the plat.

Weapons are fun to use, and are diverse. Gyrocopter is fun as hell and makes getting around a joy (the vistas.... ).

Like I said its been a year and I dont remember the negatives(I dont recall the overall story being amazing, but it was not bad in a negative way, just not a high point) when means basically nothing left a bad taste in my mouth. Its just a fun sandbox for you to take some high powered weapondry and have fun.
