So how good it is compare to the reboot? because I did find the reboot pretty average.

Worlds better. The tombs are more convincing and the acting is great. At its core while having a more fleshed out environemnt and system than the first game it is much better than the first game. The character relationships with lara between friends is better but still pointless and shakey as they try to paint her as a lone wolf. Shes better off just getting lost and not having her friends know where she is. Simple. heh I played the definitive edition before I played part two again and I would give the definitive edition a full point lower than this game. They truly learned from the last of us as well. It will be as clear as day that they watched that games development like a hawk.

Ujmm gonna give it a try when it comes out on ps4.  You got me curious with your semi review.

I've played all the Uncharted games. Frankly, I don't care much for the level design and gunplay is just bad. I zone out just shooting endless waves of bad guys in the face. Uncharted 3 was my personal favorite because of the story and some of the levels were fantastic. They are fine games, some of the best exclusives on PS3. But I never understood what people love about those games.

When it comes to Far Cry, I feel like I have more fun doing the side stuff in those games than actually playing through the story. Really cool games that get tedious. Also, the gunplay is a huge part of that game but feels kinda average.

Since the reboot of Tomb Raider, I feel those games are an almost perfect balance in that genre. Its both linear and open world enough to not feel like there is a bunch of useless space. So you actually want to explore and the campaign does enough interesting stuff to encourage you to keep going. The combat doesn't just feel like shooting endless waves in the face. You often have to be more tactical then I find in other games of the same genre. The attention to detail in the enivornments is amazing and the puzzles are often simple but mix up the gameplay in a good way.

For me, Tomb Raider 2013 is almost the perfect game. I'm just a few hours into the new game, but loving it so far. I'm also loving Bayonetta 2 at the moment.

Much like Castlevania:SOTN and other Castlevania titles in that vein. Tomb Raider found an almost perfect balance for that genre.

Yeah, If it was a full review it would've been much longer and detailed. I just wanted to give somewhat of an explaination for my reasoning and it kind of came out while typing as a slight review. Go figure. Heh We will enjoy Uncharted together, but definitely get Tomb Raider when it drops on the PS4. Well deserved game of all the accolades it gets. It is definitely a GOTY contender.

If you state that something is your opinion, it cannot be subjective... Then it would not be an opinion, but a matter of fact...

Well opinions are subjective. I think you mean opinions are objective.

Anyhow...

Fair enough. I disagree but at least you wrote something substantial enough to be given credit. To me the gameplay between Uncharted and Tomb Raider is essentially the same but in Tomb Raider is grossly overexaggerated, but you have to work a little harder to gain the same accuracy reticle through upgrdes. Uncharted 4 is coming and the world seems a bit more open. It seems they are going to cash in on what they were saying about the PS3 hardware that was holding them back. I will play both but I agree Rise of the Tomb Raider was a fantastic game.

Thanks for it.  Dont get me wrong, the reboot was a good game but for some reason, I was done after my 1st playthrough,  I just didnt feel the game unlike uncharted 2 which I beat more than 5 times. And I tell you, it has nothing to do with exclusivity, for example, my GOTY this year is The witcher 3 despite being a soul's game fan and I did enjoy bloodborne a lot but I still find a multiplatform the better game.  That 's why I am hoping for the new tomb raider to be a better game, to give it a chance.

The fact is that TR reboot and RoTR are trying to be like Uncharted, whcih makes Uncharted better since TR changed to copy its style.

To be fair, not all of Uncharted's combat is big waves coming at you. But... that happens too often in those games. There are moments in Uncharted where you can take advantage of stealth, the enviornment, melee, etc. In comparison though, I feel more thought and creativity goes into the combat scenes of Tomb Raider titles.

I've seen the trailers for Uncharted 4 and I'm impressed, maybe they were inspired by Tomb Raider 2013. The game apparently changed a lot over its development and it does seem more open. I'm excited about Uncharted 4 and being more like Tomb Raider will benefit that series.

I genuinely don't beleive the PS3 hardware was holding Naughty Dog back. Tomb Raider 2013 and Rise of The Tomb Raider on 360 is proof of that. They offer more than any Uncharted game without need of 8th gen specs. A title like Battlefield 4 is an amazing game for 7th gen specs as well, those consoles aren't as limited as developers want us to believe.

I think Uncharted raised the bar in some of the things Tomb Raider was doing, but they were linear games. Tomb Raider 2013 has game mechanics similar to Uncharted but less linear, more about exploration. Tomb Raider is just more ambitious game than the Uncharted games. To me, its kinda like comparing linear Castlevania games to Symphony of the Night.

Frankly, Uncharted 4 might be moving in a direction more like Tomb Raider versus the Uncharted PS3 trilogy.

I agree with you. Still not finished because my goddam job won't let me take a week or with pay just to play the game. Anyway, I was like "Get the hell outta here, Jonah. Nobody likes you." when he reappeared.

Loving it and recommend it to anyone. The puzzles are my favorite part followed by the gunplay.
