Year of Pokemon (2016): Are We Going To Get Gen 7 Games Too?

Basically a prediction thread, i bet we'll have this...

Q1 Jan-Mar

*Pokemon Gen 1[VC] (Confirmed)

*Pokemon Go [Mobile]

Q2

*Pokken Tournament [WiiU]

*Pokemon Z [3DS] (1 version)

Q3

*Pokemon Amiibo Line

*Spin off Title? (Something small like Shuffle)

Q4

*Pokemon Gen 7

Thoughts???

I feel we're going to be getting Pokemon Z sometime in the first half of the year and then NX is going to launch with Gen 7 at the end of 2016, especially considering the XY anime should be ending around the end of the year. Nintendo is going to want a Pokemon on the NX launch considering how huge Pokemon is and they know it's going to push sales.

I'd say no just because the metagame for Pokémon Z wouldn't have enough time to be established in time for the PWC2016 that usually take place in August...

Inb4 it's correct name is Year of Zelda, Metroid and Pokémon ;)

I don't think we will see Pokemon Z and a new Gen in the same year...

I think:
Q1: Gen 1 VC and Pokemon Go
Q2: Pokemon Z on 3DS, Pokken on Wii U and Pokemon Amiibo (compatible with Z, Go, Pokken and the Gen 7 games.
Q3: Nothing
Q4: Pokemon Gen 7, launch in November alongside NX. My guess is that the names will be... Pokemon Terra and Pokemon Astral (99% going to be wrong, but what else have they got left to name?) Terra will be specifically for the console NX, while Astral will be developed with the handheld component of NX in mind. This would push both very strongly imo.

Pokemon Z? Yes, it makes sense to celebrate the anniversary and to keep the 3DS going in its last year. Next generation Pokemon? No. Better save it to boost the NX.

Two mainline games from different generations in one year has never happened I think, and for good reason, it's financially silly. As soon as Gen 7 is announced which by your timeline could only be 3 months after Z is released, who's gonna wanna buy Z anymore? Also I heard the anime still has over 100 episodes left so it wont end next year.

Never look at the past anymore ( i mean which is obvious in terms of patterns), pokemon since gen 5 has actually been unpredictable in many ways. Going by past patterns means nothing anymore.

Examples.

*BW to BW2 (never were there direct sequels) (also was supposed to be the obvious gray version)

*Gen 5 being extremely short for west

*Launching of Gen 6 simultaneously WW

That said financially? Yes i agree but we are going into Pokemon's 20th year anniversary, and they mention they want to make it special! Anything could happen! ANYTHING :P

EDIT: Well 2 different gens of games never technically happened yet but we do have this....
