Hi, Im a Wii U and PS4 owner (fantastic console combo), and by far the most useful Wii U feature to me is off tv play. I have a wife and 2 kids all vying for the TV, and its nice to be able to game continually instead of in short bursts thanks to this feature. I also have to be choosy what I play in front of my kids when I do get the TV, which means  a lot of what I play on my PS4 has to be done late evening, but I would like to play more. This is where the Vita comes in. It looks to be an awesome system in its own right and the added bonus of remote play will allow me to have more time on my PS4 and sheilding impressionable young kids at the same time. Can anybody here tell me how well this feature works, how well it stacks up to the Wii U which was obviously designed around this feature, and if its worth the cost investing in a Vita...Thanks.

I use it often, general within ten feet of the PS4 and I've personally never had an issue. It works great, only issue is games that use L2 and/or R2 a lot can be tricky as uses rear touch pad given Vita lacks those buttons.

Remote Play works great on Vita. It doesn't take long to get a feel for the touch pads relacing R2, R3 & L2, L3. The Vita also has a dcent amount of apps, and a great web browser for a mobile device. Add all of it up along with the great library of Vita games, PSP games, and PS1 Classics, and you have a system wellworth its price tag.

Anoher thing to consider if you have a second TV in the house is the PlayStation TV. The TV is half to a 1/4 of the price of the Vita, and you can use the same DualShock 4 from your PS4 making controls identical, and removing the learning process a Vita.

Yes, it works great, I use it a lot recently because I'm lazy and just want to lay down. only issue is the confusion between R3 /L3 and L2/R2 buttons. Anyone know how to swap those?

It works great. My Xperia phone can steam them too and I can connect a dualshock to play with that. Not sure if that works with the vita but I'm sure it does. It works great and the only thing stopping it is your Internet. Hopefully it's good.
