Forums - Gaming Discussion - What monitor are you using? How is it?

I use a Dell U2311H, a 23 inch, 1080p IPS monitor since 2011 or 12. It may not be as good as a TN monitor for gaming but I don't notice any ghosting or anything wrong while I enjoy the better colors. I like it a lot.

Every now and then I think about getting a new one, like one of those 1440p and 25" monitors or a huge 34" 3440x1440p, but in the end my common sense kicks in and realize that I don't need a new one until the one I have starts to fail.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

I have a BenQ E2220HD. It's old but works, and my only complaint is that I can't adjust its height. Oh, and there's occassionally a red pixel stuck in the middle, but most of the time it's not there. And considering the model number doesn't tell very much, it's a 21.5" 1080p monitor.

Viewsonic 21" 1080p 2ms latency which must be 5 years old. It's In my room, with the PS4 hooked up to it. I also have a 32" Series 6 Samsung TV from 2011. It has active 3D but I've never got around to buying the glasses. It's in the living room with the X1 connected. It really gives a great picture.

Both screens handle motion (and hence 60fps) great.

PS, PS2, Gameboy Advance, PS3, PSP, PS4, Xbox One

I use the very first Nvidia 3D vision ready SAMSUNG with 120hz and 1680x1050 resolution. Its awesome and SAMSUNG is awesome, much better than the trashy HP and viewsonic i owned prior.

At moment i'm using LG 27MP75, that is 27 inch 1080p plus IPS plus anti-glare. And the other monitor i have is vintage, it's Samsung SyncMaster 551s just a 15 inch with 800x600 native.

Extra: I also have bigass Panasonic CRT tv that's only 25 inch comes with 2x S-Video(Heck yes, go quality!).

I have a 46" Bravia LCD for consoles and movies, but it's getting old (6-7 years) so I'm in the market for a new one, been looking at a Sony XBR65 series, waiting for it to drop some in price though.

On my rig I have a Samsung 32" 1440p display which works fantastically, I'll be sticking with this one for years. I also have an older 27" 1080p Samsung display that I'm not using, that and my old rig are going to my sister next year.

Currently using the Asus PG278Q as my main monitor. 1440p, 144Hz and G-Sync. It's pretty neat. Will probably never have another monitor without G-Sync again. Haven't seen any non-glowing reviews about it.
I'm also using 2 Dell U2715H as side monitors though I'm thinking of replacing them with another pair of PG278Q so I can try some cool surround stuff.

I do have my Samsung UE65JS9500 connected to my computer but I don't use it for gaming since it's limited to 60fps at 4k without G-Sync. I basically only use it for consoles and anime. Oh and porn of course. Lots and lots of 4k porn.

Are you some kind of drug lord? Those things are expensive as fuck.

It's called being financially responsible. I don't waste money on stupid things I don't need(cars, alcohol, women etc), so I can spend it on stupid things that I want. According to my research, my income is only slightly above average in my country. Though that's gonna change in the next years.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Still the same old 50" 3D Samsung PS50C6970 from 20...11 I think.

Same here! I bought a 3500$ rig this summer and I eat well at home, I have also saved up about 13.000$ in about 15 months, all this on an income that is slightly above average for the region.
No parties, tobacco, alcohol, expensive vacations, bullshit for my home and also being single since June; it's not that hard or mysterious, I find it stranger to see all the people who have no money left every month on decent incomes and have nothing to show for it.
"What? I went to Spain on a vacation while you were at home, I've had experiences and fun for my money!" "What did you do in Spain?" "I tanned and drank cheap booze." "What do you do back home?" "I go to the tanning booth and drink expensive booze!" "Good job." "You're just jealous!"

I wonder is there a character creation slider which as you increase how in a relationship you are it lowers the bar for screen size and resolution?
Ticking the "I've a kid box [ ]" automatically adds sad lines to your characters face.

For consoles I've a 42" Hanspree 1080p TV, great pic, terrible sound so I've it set up to a home cinema kit, for that instead.
PC has a HPLE2002x 1600x900 and a Acer X223HQ @ 1080p on it. They're small enough but get the job done.
