Forums - Nintendo Discussion - I'm not getting Xenoblade Chronicles X because it's too confusing.

Well, I am a noob at RPGs, and when I played Xenoblade for the first time, it only took me a few seconds to understand everything.

Nothing is too hard as long as you take a couple of seconds to try and actually learn.

Seconds??? maybe hours!!! This game get better has you start understanding the system, but it will not take seconds, you need to invest hours just to get a basic understanding. They do a good job introducing you to the gameplay, the game will ease you into the experience so that even a newcomers to JRPG can understand. But, don't expect to be up and running in seconds.

Jimquisition?... Never heard of him. For good reason, he reviews games before he beats them. Gamespot, IGN and Gametrailers any mainstream site like that makes their reviewers finish games before they review them.

So that is not much different than reviews in progress that IGN loves to do?

Jimquisition is very well known. And your willingness to bash on someones work which you know nothing about, and didnt even read the review to see if he has a valid reason to do what he did, says lots about you.Im wasting my breath here.

You are wasting your breath on me. Because someone who reviews a game without beating it has absolutely no credibility with me. And I just watched another review and the guy said the story is around 50+ hours double that if you do side missions.

My advice? Try Tales of Graces/Xillia 1. These are really stock and standard (but still enjoyable) stuff of the JRPG genre, and they do a decent job at explaining all the mechanics.

Errr...

Really? Hmm. Been a few years since I played it but I think i found it easier to learn than Xillia 1.

Or maybe the transistion from Symphonia to Graces made it easier.
