The game doesn't look all that 'next gen' outside yet indoors it can still look really good.

Looks like a ps2 game...

And a more recent shot of me, getting pretty radiation burned out there

I haven't even started this element of the game at all. I mean, I have the basics at every settlement, like water, power, beds, defense. I hope eventually they start sending a lot of raiders to attack your bases, would make it very interesting.

A Fallout 4 horde mode with base defense type elements would be AWESOME.

I've been avoiding Diamon city, first trying to finish all the quests I had not related to Diamond city,  yet I keep getting more follow ups. I liberated Castle last night, Preston immediately started piling more Settlement quests on me doh. I haven't been to the wasteland yet, sounds awesome. I have the special -36000 rads serum and a hazmat suit. Bring on the rads.

I started on the Starlight settlement. Already connected to 7 more settlements. Of course I had to put the recruitment beacon all the way on the top :)
I can't build small in a hub, little buildings are for farms

It comfortably houses 20 beds so far

Back in Sanctuary work is underway on the electronic sign on the side of my hotel. Well not really a hotel anymore as everyone has taken up residence in it instead of using the houses, causing a bit of a traffic jam on the stairs at night. It's a bit further along now, top layer of the scaffolding has come off, still a lot more to do before I can fire it up.

I hit level 39 just before I quit for the night (erm morning, was 5am again). That unlocks gun nut rank 4, so I'm going to tinker with my guns next. Oh I found the zeta gun, radiation dmg, evil weapon on humans :)

Wow, already building up Starlight, huh?  Those concrete formations, I don't remember seeing those.

I just got an awesome piece of armor that I love ... but I can't use it.  It basically makes you invisible when you're not walking.  The bad part?  It makes the sights on my gun invisible, too.  I just can't deal with that.  It also messes up the Pipboy and makes it really hard to see anything.  Such a shame.

I just read something interesting on fallout.wikia:  "Common bug: Fast travel out of a settlement, especially from Sanctuary Hills, may cause the settlement's resources to display incorrectly. The difference is shown when viewing Data- Workshops in Pip Boy when the player is inside the settlement and after fast travel to a different zone. To fix power and bed having lower count than actual placement, put all beds and generators on top of player-made floor. To fix water count, scrap all TVs including pre-existing ones."  http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_4_settlements

Right so I finished the game about ~3 days ago. I rate it anywhere from a 7 1/2 to a 8/10.

Good:
-Building/crafting
-Gunplay
-1080p sharpness
-"Bethesda" open world

Bad:
-Dialogue wheel
-Glitches
-Frame rate
-Load times

If you ask me it seems the game is stuck somewhere in between 7th and 8th gen.

The concrete foundations are in the wood floor section. Should be standard, looks like a big block.

I get that settlement bug a lot yet it always restores on its own. I'm not going to scrap all my tvs! I ran out of steel building the power plant I need to power the electronic sign. I was so fixated on copper I forgot about the steel requirements. Time to unlock more settlements and scrap all their steel!

Recruitment seems to be on halt atm. Preston wants me to go back to castle yet I don't really have anyone spare to send there atm to build it up. No clue how long it takes until the next recruitment wave comes, if it works like that.

I can see now why some people grow bored of the game when you follow Preston's quests. After unlocking castle he keeps sending me to help settlements with their ghoul or raider problem. Unnecessary padding imo, the game is big enough. It even falls into repetition wanting me to go back to locations I had cleared out already. I guess it's just a bit of extra xp and can be ignored, just like attacks. During the last attack on Sanctuary I was sleeping. I woke up fully rested with a Success, helped defend Sanctuary lol. I did build all the defenses ofcourse.

Still not going to Diamond city, Cabot wants me back for a follow up. I wonder what he is up to now.
Btw I ran into the children of the atom, nearly took me out with their radiation guns, did not expect that.

Wow, some amazing work guys... my game world is so undeveloped. .....

1 part of my mega project is complete, the power plant to run the electronic screens. 42 medium generaters producing an extra 210 power.

There goes the neighbourhood :) Must be noisy living next to that.

Hmm, I see I lost someone, should be 25 people. I better check all the stations.

Btw what did Lucas Miller's guards do to him to deserve this treatment. It seems to be catching on too, armor is not clothes people!

This game can throw up some beautiful skies too.

Honestly I do get out of Sanctuary too at times!

No, no, I mean the cinder blocks with the red tarp.

I hate Preston's quests because they're timed.  If you ignore them, it will eventually flash up that the hostage was killed or that you failed to defend a settlement.  So, I'll do the quest and not turn it in.  Eventually it will self-turn in but it takes awhile.  Going to The Castle or Sanctuary will turn it in sometimes, too, which is why I moved my base.  I wish I could turn them off or only pick them up when I want.

Diamond City isn't as big a deal as I thought.  Nothing really happens except more leads.  I really like Piper, though, she's my favorite companion thus far.

Your power factory looks really nice.  I want to do some metal buidings eventually.

Development on Poko's At The Beach has begun.

Awesome setup, already looks great!

I noticed that the quests auto turn in when you get too close to Preston, guess I'll be avoiding him. Too bad it's not like the sims where you can lock them up inside the walls and let them starve. Or be nice and leave some fireworks and a bunch of hay in there to give them an easy way out. (It's the innocent looking games that breed psychopaths :p)

The Caravan station is under misc. from resources. I think it becomes available based on the number of people. First I couldn't get it at Starlight while I already had it at Sanctuary. When I checked again with 12 people it was there.

I never play with companions, it feels like a big penalty after getting used to the lone wanderer perks. I've only teemed up with Strong for a bit. I send the dog back fully loaded, then used Strong to carry more loot. He's a farmer at Abernathies now, he didn't like my lockpicking skills.
