What's up with these NX comments? It clearly says he's working on a PS4 title and not a Nintendo console. Am I missing something?

We're just speculating where monster hunter 5 will go!

Ok but if we're speculating that this guy is working on MH5, why are people only mentioning NX when it clearly only mentions PS4.

Tbh, we already have a similar Monster Hunters game in the PlayStations, it's called Dragon Dogma Online. Very popular in Japan, it downloaded over 1 Million in just 10 days in Japan alone.
I think they should finishing Deep Down cuz that seem like a better game IMHO!

A NX game would also be nice!

I can't wait for the NX announcement so we finally know what it is.  So hard to have these discussions without concrete details on that project.

Yeah, I'm tired of rumors and patents. I want some concrete information as well!

Pretty accurate analysis. There's nothing coming to Vita now that I see pushing hardware in a significant way. 2017 will probably be its last year as a system with many releases. Was fun while it lasted though.

I just hope Nintendos next handheld is a genuine upgrade over the Vita in power.

Japanese devs and handheld gamers dont seem to be pushed over graphics.  So why should the NX being more powerful effect it?  If anything it makes the vita the most affordable handheld which being more expensive was previously a big negative.

The line up in 2016 is it's best ever.  If the NX comes out and the gap is nil or not major why shouldn't the vita go another 5 or 6 year generation?  If the vita devs were going to switch they'd have done so by now.

I predict 2016 will be up YOY on 2015 and the console won't show any signs of stopping.  It's called the vita for a reason.  It will never die!

I didn´t talk about graphics like at all. Anyway, graphics was one of the big reasons in favour of PSV in particular, so unless purchases were just made out of blind brand loyalty, better tech will at least appeal to this segment of the already small userbase. But the point was more of actual next-gen hype for beeing new tech and not limited to graphics.

About the lineup, it´s like you didn´t actually read my post. Best case scenario is that it will help PSV sell at the same ballpark as this year (this includes the off-chance of beeing slightly up year on year), but that will be more due to the fact that next year will be after two yearly declines in sales in 2014 and 2015, downward to WiiU level sales, more than actual good sales. I said earlier that its 2016 lineup will do its best to hinder a total collapse, but to help to stall sales at 2015 level is very likely the best case scenario. Considering the obvious overall downward-trend. The onlý thing that will push sales further would be a considrable price reduction, in combination with a further hardware revision.

That´s basically with the consideration of its 2016 lineup. The point is this is a pretty unusual lineup for PSV (while still not that good imo) and something that most likely won´t be constantly repeated in the next "5 or 6 years" to come. 2016 will most likely just postpone the inevitable for a short time. PSV is already a "legacy" and without the euphemism a "zombie" in the US and European market. In Japan it´s currently selling at WiiU levels and therefore I make my honest prediction with no rosy tinted glasses.
