Seeing that we're having a lot of predictions lately, I decided to throw my hat into the ring and I'll try to predict something Zelda U related. With that said:

Look at this:

Imagine this on this:

I predict that Zelda U will have some train-like feature implemented. The world is huge, and maybe we'll have some form of travel to special areas that Epona can't reach for some reason. And also, with all that magic-tech things (the robot, the arrow...), it also might be powered by that energy. Or even better, you help someone clean some areas of obstacles and monsters, so they can build the railroads. Wouldn't that be nice to see?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Are you playing spirit tracks? Lol. It wont be happening.

Please no.

Boats/kanus yes, train no.

And definitely don't want to see train in Zelda U world.

"Robot."

It's just a beamos with legs.

Zelda U is the new NX

There won't be trains, but I do think there'll be something fitting into the "technology" category for movement. Why?

That looks like it's magical technology, to me. And where there's one piece of magical technology, there's bound to be more, including useful tech.

Incidentally, here's an interesting observation...

Ocarina of Time: Light
Wind Waker: Water
Twilight Princess: Shadow
Skyward Sword: Spirit

And now Zelda U looks like it might be Forest. Note that it's a list of the "main" 3D console titles - Link saves Zelda in these games (Majora's Mask has a different "theme"). For those wondering what the deal is with the categorisation, especially of OoT and SS... think first about the "guide" characters - Navi is a little source of light, King of Red Lions is a boat (water), Midna is an imp (shadow), and Fi is the spirit of a sword. The games also share themes appropriate to those - Time is linked to Light in OoT, WW obviously has the water theme, TP obviously has the shadow theme, and then SS has the main bad guy being another spirit of a sword, Zelda's practically a spirit (god) reborn, and the big bad is also a spirit (demon).

And the transport also follows the themes. The Ocarina's warp songs produce light, the boat is, again, water, the transport in TP is by midna moving Link through the shadows, and a bird in flight has a natural link to spirits.

And that's why I bring this up - I'm betting (colloquially speaking) that there's a forest connection to both the transport and the guide. Trains really don't evoke forests, to me.

No.
Please no.

And I say that as someone who loves spirit tracks.

That being said, I can see them implementing some sort of magic (because lets face it blue, glowing stones=magic) based fast travel.

I don't think so, but I agree they may implement something to fast travel. And yes, the world seems to have some early tech, it's interesting.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I would lvoe trians that take you from town to town since the world is supposed to be huge.
