It is worthwhile already. Have alook at all the great games you can get on it. it s a $300 machine, 5 games makes it worthwhile. Wii U has at least 20 worth purchasing.

So, I guess the Wii U is not such a failure after all? Haha...

it is, because it doesn't have enough variety for others to buy the console over the competition. From a Nintendo only gamer you can be satisifed with what is on there now.

Then they not a dedicated base. A dedicated base would realise the Wii U is a commercial failure and should want to buy the game on NX at launch instead to give the system a boost and consumer/developer confidence.

If NX fails, as bad or worst that Wii U, who knows where all your favourite franchises like Zelda Mario etc will end up??

Short term gains = long term pains that alot of people haven't even considered in their thought process.

So Nintendo's fanbase should accept being sold a $300 system on false promises, and buy the next system to get what they were repeatedly promised on this one?

That's like buying a car, finding out it doesn't have an engine, and being told that you have to buy another car to get the engine.

TBH i don't think many Nintendo fans buy the system on a promise of a future games based on Nintnedo track record. Because if they did, 5million would have been sold launch week.

Microsoft is the same, most people buy when their fav games come out.

Sony is the only console manufactuer that can sell a console based on hype of future games. The other two have never been able to sell that concept to the general consumer.

Zelda WILL be released on the Wii U. The question is, will it be cross platform?

Anyone doubting Zelda being on the Wii U at this point.... just wow. Seriously.

I am always confused by these posts. They have said time and again that it is coming for the Wii U. The last direct a couple weeks ago stated that it is coming for the Wii U in 2016. How can they be any clearer? I am seriously baffled by these stupid threads. Yes it is coming for Wii U. It MAY release alongside NX like TP did with GC, but regardless, it is for the Wii U!!!

Promises of an epic open world HD Zelda would have been a primary factor in many people's decision to buy a Wii U. Heck, there are several examples right here.

Has Nintendo ever done something like this with a game so heavily publicized? I know they've moved certain games between consoles (Kirby Air Ride, Super Paper Mario, Pikmin) but I can't recall them doing it with any game that was this far along in development, and already officially revealed with much fanfare. I don't think the idea that this won't come out for Wii U was ever really rational. The question is more whether it will come out for the NX, which I think it almost definitely will.

several loud examples on the internet vs mass general consumer is still a small sample lol.

i think sales speak for themselves. If Zelda had such pull power before the game was actually released Wii U would have sold more consoles already.

PS4 o the otherhand, i think maybe what 20% of the hyped new titles (not remakes) have made it out since their annoucement at launch at look at the console ales.

My sentiments exactly. I can buy all of the digital games from last gen later, but if NX is coming out soon with a better version of Zelda i'm going for that. Nintendo's planning is shit.

Or maybe Wii U would have sold a great deal less than it has if epic HD Zelda wasn't dangled as a carrot for the last four and half years.

Ultimately I value my needs and those of other paying customers more than the wellbeing of a multi-billion dollar corporation.

No. It's coming to Wii U. And it won't be ported.

So how bout them Bears?
