Not to mention that if someone is watching others playing through games like The Last of Us, are they as likely to buy it later on and go back over what they've watched? I'd rarely say this but there are some games you could just watch someone else play and get just about as much fun out of as if you're the player, stuff like LA noire and Walking Dead-Telltale games. Of course... you'd have to filter out the personality on youtube screaming and over reacting to everything for views... but still if you could find a silent stream you wouldn't lose too much from watching those games.

One of the best things to come out of Youtube imo, along with GMM (completely not game related, altho they did play RocketLeague a few weeks back together actually lol) Regarding Esports tho, like in terms of Mobas the PC is always going to rule with those realistically and I can't imagine anyone has ever held a serious LAN competition of the console versions of Counter Strike when it was on the original Xbox?

Street fighter 5 could put the Playstation Brand into competitive local multiplayer circles tho... altho given the 1000s of hours of SF4 I've played on the 360s pad I'll definitely be wanting either the PC version of that or to find an adaptor to let you use the X360 pad on the PS4.

I'd personally rather if you just linked to a post you had an issue with and countered the arguement within it, rather than a blanket statement trying to avoid directly insulting anyone but at the same time trying to insult those you feel disagree with the OP. That doesn't really invite "Discussion" that would end up with threads of "I think this is true of X" and nothing but posts agreeing with it. Would get boring fast.

MS practically invented e-sports, and the vast majority like LOL, COD, and BattleField are on PC. PlayStation has the EVO fighting games.

With regard to youtube, Minecraft online is PC, not Xbox alone, there is a subset of those who play it on Xbox, but those are typically the people who also play it on PC, where mods and the like make it a very different game.

Youtubers who cover PS tend to be multiplatform gamers, which again make up the majorityminority.

I wonder is the bolded True? Like do you think people who just have a single brand are the Majority, I can't really picture myself being locked into a single brand... like say if you enjoy Playstation games that's fine, but if you also sit down and play through Halo does that mean you have less fun with your Playstation games afterwards or you can't play Tetris on the bog without taking from the other 2 systems? :o odd logic.

I'm not saying you're incorrect, just wondering are there more people out there who would rather miss out on great games because they happen to be on a "Rival" console to the main one they love tho. Or are there more people who just play games regardless of the box in front of their TV (can also put a PC there! simmer down :D )

There are plenty of playstation centric youtubers. But they tend to stick to lets play type videos, or specialist areas like sports games such as Fifa, or games like COD. I wouldn't watch the kind of youtubers people are talking about. That just tell lie after lie, and a constant stream of made up stuff. Then this gets in the psyche of the player base. The number of times I have heard these lies as facts, when playing on my XB1 from the likes of Crapgamer between my friends is beyond a joke. I would probably give up gaming if it was the same on Wii U and PS4 as well.

As far as E sports goes, Street fighter 5? The COD partnership? Outside of that, even if they came to console. E sport fame is all about PC - Dota, LOL, etc. The biggest console E sport must be fighting games down the line anyway, somehow I think the PS4 has that covered...

Why do those two things matter to a fanbase that's clearly not shown interest in either of them?, most fans of the system here don't even care about the two either, Sony doesn't have to absolutely dominate and destroy everything.
