Probably because the 30+ million ps4 owners are too busy playing and buying games to worry about trivial stuff like that.

Close to 80% of sales for the new need for speed were on ps4 alone as are most of Ubisoft game sales.
Xb1 and Wii U are smaller userbases and libraries so of course they have more time to do that stuff.

That's my take on it anyway :)

I feel sorry for you if you actually believe that. But to use your logic against you: Sony fans on this site mostly talk about how much their PS4 has sold while Nintendo fans constantly hold online tournaments on this site.

And there are much more Sony related videos on youtube than Nintendo ones anyway (22 million vs 9 million), so I guess you're double wrong.

If you want to play that game why not say that Nintendo fans talk more about NX than play their current system?

Compare the communities yourself: it's pretty obvious which one is actively playing games together and which one isn't. Where's the LBP3 thread to share levels between members for example? I constantly see people here asking to play Splatoon, Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart together online. I see none of that in the PS community here.

It's not as obvious as you may think.  Thing about Nintendo is that their online is weak at the moment. You don't see the kind of threads you speak of about Sony or Microsoft games because frankly, they don't need them. The way Sony and Microsoft's infrastructures are set up,  players can get connected to each other easily. They both have very community based functions on their respective networks that make having to do things like make threads like you're talking about obsolete. Sony even has the community functions built in where people literally make their own user based communities (and yeah there are LBP communities on it).

What a load of nonsense, if people on this forum want to play together they're going to have to contact each other on this forum first. Mario Kart also has community functions built in where people Literally make their own user based communities. Yet you're still going to need to post on this forum if you want the members to know about it. There has simply been very little interest in LBP3 on this forum, even when the game launched. Sales data supports that notion. There's a huge drop off compared to the first LBP. Killzone also never got to Halo levels. PS ASBR also never caught on like SSB. The community simply isn't there for any of Sony's multiplayer focused games. Sony tried to make GoW multiplayer focused and it backfired with Ascension (the worst selling GoW).

The thing about Sony is that they don't have any great online games themselves, they rely on third party games for that. Sony offers mainly cinematic single player experiences. There's not a single company out there that has as many good online multiplayer games as Nintendo: Splatoon, Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart, Super Mario Maker, Animal Crossing and Pokémon. This creates a stronger community.

I only like to see people playing when is a friend alternating the control.. but I guess that analysts on youtube could increase awareness and improve sales, so it isn't negative... Not sure the strategy sony would have to implement to get it done.

On the e-sports let's see if GT can get bigger (because the Nissan Academy I would say is the biggest e-sport event I ever seen, not by the monetary prize for the 1st place but a real career opportunity is unique), SFV will be big, UC could improve on MP side and Maybe start interest in Destiny MP, CoD is with PS4 now. So I would say sooner or later it will possibly be stronger on PS4 than on X1 and WiiU.

THANK YOU for understand me :).

Yeah i agree with most of what you said except the destiny and CoD since those aint reall sony games tbh. I think the PlayStation should focusing on their own games, perhaps make the next Ratchet & Clank has a Multiplayer mode and bring it to Esport. Or just any animated games like Jak 4 or Sly Cooper 5 or PlayStation Royal Battle 2! (but i expect many people are gonna compare to Smash Bros, so maybe not a good idea after all, lol.)

Anyways, why animated games you might ask ? Well, becuz E-Sport is all about fun and excitement, so Cartoon-ish would be spot-on. And unlike realistic games like UC and GT Sport, Sly Cooper/Jak/R&C are Fantasy genre so they can put some crazy and bizzard ablities, weapons, skins, etc in there.

Another factor is to have a diversity in it.

Did you see the multiplayer trailer for UC4? If that's realistic, I think I need to go see a psychatrist. Also no, there have been two multiplayer focused Ratchet & Clanks, one was co-op, one was PvP. One sucked, both flopped, and they almost ruined thefanbase, as illustrated by the piss poir sales of Into the Nexus. If Sony were going to try to make a push into e-sports with their first party games, at least do it with a franchise that fits.

The thing is, for video game publishers, the only real gain from e-sports is that it's marketing for your game. So if you need to create game specifically for e-sports, the whole point is kinda lost. And I'd prefer Sony's devs making the games they want, instead of aiming specifically to create something for e-sports. If what they create end up as an e-sport, great! But I don't care, and I doubt Sony cares if it doesn't.

Seems like you have missed the threads for Driveclub and GT6 Multiplayer, UC3 and TLOU... I wouldn't blame you if you entered on June of this year, but something make me believe you were here before.

The people from this forum I want to play together I just include on my friend list and invite in game, besides that I don't play much MP so I don't fell the urge.

And why are you here on this thread talking about Nintendo? It's completely off-topic... and every time you post I have a harder time believing your claim of being a Sony fan.

I'm not a Sony fan (nor did I ever claim that), I'm a fan of great games, whether they're made by Sony, MS or Nintendo doesn't matter. What I can say is that Nintendo has a much tighter community than Sony. The OP talks about Nintendo and MS, so why shouldn't I? This is a comparison thread after all.

Yeah, friend lists and inviting to a game is also possible in all Nintendo online games. You're still not going to be able to organise tournaments without organising it on this forum first.

Its hard to see things you are aren't looking for...

However, I realize that alone isn't  strong enough to counter your suggestion.

What you are describing is nothing but a difference in culture. Just because the Nintendo Community does it, doesn't mean all communities would do it if they had the same engagement. You don't see the same for PC and Xbox either.

Unlike the PS, Xbox, or PC gaming communities, the Nintendo community didn't get a real online network till the start of this generation with miiverse. Given the fact that this forum and its community has persisted long before then, means that organizing games online was necessary for online gaming with Nintendo, the Wii specificially, and what you see now is merely a continuation of it. It's useless to compare different cultures of two platforms that are so dfferent and expect a meaningly conclusion from it.

Finally, you can't use this forum alone as sufficient evidence of the lack of enganged communities. As I've shown above, history has a significant effect, so the character of this forum is different from other ones that are actually dedicated to certain games or platforms.

E-sports? The thing where you give people money for playing your games instead the other way around?

I follow about 10 youtubers on and off and almost every one of them played Until Dawn. None of them played Halo 5.

So much for my anecdotal evidence

And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

I see, so in the first thread I saw you and you very making claims about your fandom it was just an excuse to attack Sony. I never ever saw you make any compliment to anything they done or appreciate any exclusive from them. No problem I'll update my internal guidance.

Sony and Xbox have the trophies forum, there they make a lot of threads regarding MP. But won't bother discussing a point I don't even care about. If Sony cut the online portion of all games I wouldn't be affect.

Yet there are many community forums for MMORPGS. If there's a strong online community there would be threads about it on this forum or others. There are certainly a lot of CoD forums and threads based on organizing games yet I wouldn't identify that with Sony even if it's on their consoles. Please do tell me how the users of this site (or any other) would organize a tournament or online event aimed at this or that forum without posting about it here or there.

I was talking about the networks in general, not simply this site alone. But the fact remains, Sony and Microsoft have their systems setup to where you really don't need to go crazy making threads like what you're referring to.   As Nintendo starts to get serious about online, threads like the ones you mention will start to fade away.

Mario Kart having community functions alone doesn't say much because it's a self-contained game. Which means, it only ties to people for THAT game alone. So it makes sense to make threads for get togethers on mario kart because Nintendo's ecosystem isn't fully tied together just yet. Right now, their against two competitors that have had full ecosystems where thread meet ups were made almost obsolete

Look at Dr Henry Killinger's post. He pretty much refers exactly to what I'm saying
