So, I played through Xenoblade Chronicles several times and it is hands down my favorite game of all time. But I think its true potentiao was held back by the limtaions of the Wii hardware. Ever since I played it for the first time in 2011 I hoped for an HD remake, but it never happened. Instead we got the New 3DS port with downgrade visuals. So, obviously, since that 3DS port released earlier this year the chances are very low that we could see an HD Remake this generation. But just think about: HD Remake for the next home console. If Monolith Soft (or whoever will develop it) does it right, it could become a very strong title for the next console and it would make me buying this game once again.

Will that HD Remake happen? Does the game even deserve it?

Xenoblade Chronicles X is strongly positioned as a first entry to a larger series (storywise.) I'd rather Monolith Soft focus on the sequels. An HD remaster with Dolphin level visuals would be nice as long as it is ported by somebody other than Monolith Soft. A full blown remake? Nope, because the gameplay is still pretty good, and I really can't see how the game could be made better without it being reimagined entirely. 

Yes, this game needs an HD remake (as a lot of games do). But please, let's just wait for the next gen to actually get it. If we remaster everything this gen, what will we remade during the next? Also, too close to the Xenoblade N3DS re-release.

Definitely think it's a good option. Unlike, say, Twilight Princess, Xenoblade's techniques when it comes to many graphics are the kind that would look exceptional with just upped draw distance and high res textures. The only models that would need redoing IMO for certain would be some of the bare marsh trees and obviously the character models.

I'd personally prefer to see another new game in the series before we get a remake. We see way too many remake/remasters these days for games that came out within two generations.

I hate remakes but this one, I'll agree to. Why? Because the game looks like total ASS. I own it, and playing it on an HDTV is some offensive shit lol. The art style is gorgeous but it all looks jaggy like a first generation PS2 game.

Would indeed be lovely, but as you said, unfortunately we're probably not going to get one, the closest we can get to one is probably Dolphin.

Yea but Mono shouldnt make it. I think its better that they make a new game. It took them like 5 years to make XCX.

I don't think it really needs one... Xenoblade 3D is already a thing and Xenoblade X is coming out real soon

They should just focus on making another Xenoblade gaming rather than making a HD version..

Hell yea, I'd love an HD remake of Xenoblade.

It probably won't happen though.
