No. You was trying to tell us that "good" sales of Wii U will prevent Nintendo from releasing the NX in 2016. NDS had better than "good" sales and that didn't stop them to release a succesor, let alone a bif fat failure like the Wii U, the homeconsole with the lowest userbase ever in the history of Nintendo.

Dude, the DS sold 150 million units. Obviously it sold units close to the 3DS launch. The Wii only sold 11 million units to date. If it sells good during chrismas, than it's clearly an indicator that it's too early for new hardware.

And Nintendo knows that. And Nintendo won't launch a new home console in 2016.

Only if Wii U had good sales, not "good" sales like what's happening.

good sales compared to the last years. Wii U sells better in 2015 than it did in 2014. Every usual company wouldn't throw out a new console at this time.

There's also a difference between "selling 3 million units every year" and selling "8 million units this year insetad of the usual 15 million units". Obviously, the console that sells 3 million units every year has more potential for the future. And that's the Wii U. Compare it with the 3DS: sales are falling and it won't take long until makes losses with it. So they are going to replace it as soon as possible -> late 2016.

Wii U is still profitable -> successor's launch in late 2017.

That's not how bussines work...

Wii U, lowest userbase ever, non big profts, no future, still lame sales > release a succesor as soon as possible, don't waste more money.

Nintendo is not happy with those sales.

That's not how business works. The successor has been in talks for a long while (with awful sales throughout that time). They are not going to say: "hey guys we finally got one decent weekend of sales from one retailer, let's delay the consoles we've been planning for months by a year." Everything has been planned. The successor is set in stone, and the wii u won't be around much longer. Stop over reacting to a tiny amount of positive sales after months of horrible ones

Only 50 cheaper then a PS4 or X1 bundle, wiiu has always been cheaper and failed agianst them sales wise.

I cant see why this would be such a mass success given wiiu always was the cheaper option.

Partial market saturation means early adopters are starting to buy second consoles? Three year's worth of highly-rated exclusives, with two of them bundled? The $250 price is starting to attract some of the Wii's old casual audience?

Mmm, top seller at Target isn't nothing, but I agree it's probably incidental. If I'm reading things correctly here, their deals probably drew most people wanting a WiiU to Target instead of other retailers. While it would be the funniest thing ever if WiiU "won Black Friday", I realize there's no chance that would ever happen.
