Yeah, Nintendo got screwed by some retailers selling the bundle with Smash+Splatoon at $30 over the starting MSRP.  But funnily enough, the Smash Splatoon bundle isn't leading on their charts right now, the MK8 bundle is.  MK8 bundle is the #1 console and Smash+Splatoon is #4

This is similar to what what I saw at my Wal mart. When they were rolling back the consoles back when the store was closing there where a bunch of PS4's and X1's with two Wii U Smash Splatoon bundles on top. They have roughly the same amount each. Was the $250(220 at Target) price point enough for people to jump on board? We'll know the sales soon enough.

The bundle is actually really good for the price, but this is for the website only. The Wii U has no chance to outsell Xbox One or PS4 this holiday, and even if it did the console is still on the way out unfortunately.
