Well, on the offical Swedish Nintendo facebook page, they post each week  what the top 10 Selling Wii U/3DS games are in the nordic countries. (I guess this includes Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Iceland).

And those lists are based on Sell-through figures given by nordic retailers. It mentions that on the bottom.

There's no advertising for Nintendo stuff whatsoever in Norway. Only thing I've seen this year is a Splatoon ad before a movie in the cinema + they also had splatoon stands in various cinemas.

I've never met anyone that has spoken about WiiU or 3DS, feels like most people don't really know it exists.

I live in sweden and i feel the same way , but the other day i met someone at a school who knew what xenoblade chronicles was, and was gonna buy the new one for Wii U, i looked big eyed at him and just wanted to give him a thousand dollars xD Im not alone

Nintendo should advertise more everywhere. Simple as that. They are barely visible, amazing they have the userbase they have.

They cant live off of old merits anymore, once NX is official they should go all in.

Saw the list, and was surprised with the lack of Mario Kart 8. I dont think they count bundles for this one.

Why is Splatoon only 10 when it's doing amazingly well everywhere else? It's a bit weird....

Pretty much this. Splatoon is a good showcase of what a good marketing can do.
