I agree with everything, especially since I started at DS1 and didn't get to play it.

Same!

It does this is where souls started and not with dark souls 1 like a lot of others want us to believe. But i think we only will see a remaster after a while when the Bloodborne dlc and dark souls 3 have passed. You dont release a remaster when there is enough new content avaible from the series.

So much this. Some people pretend that DeS didn't exist and that DS1 was the beggining. It has to stop and a re-release of DeS would make people remember where the series truly began.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Sony owns the Demon's Souls franchise, Atlus just paid them to publish it in America for the PS3 version. If they made a remaster for PS4, Sony could tell Atlus to move along.

Actually we dont know that.

Atlus could very well have the publishing rights when it comes to the US.

Until a remaster or sequel is made and released in the US without Atlus attached, we will never really know.

In a backwards world where Sony doesn't recognize that FromSoftware = $$$, sure. Atlus could score publishing rights again.

Except they won't, because the game doesn't belong to them and Sony can (and will) publish themselves. It would be financially irresponsible to let someone else publish it this time around.

No, because it was a game from the last generation. Bottom line to me is, if it isn't at least 2 console generations old and 10+ years old then it's not worth it.

These things can be easily resolved, see: Koei-Tecmo publishing the Atelier Plus games for Vita in the west despite NISA publishing the PS3 versions.

OT: Needs a VIta demaster clearly, none of this PS4 remaster nonsense, the console is already drowning in Souls games!

It's called licensing, that doesn't mean they own Demon's Souls, all they did was license it and those are for a limited amount of time.

Port Soul Sacrifice to Ps4 and we gladly give you Demon's Souls!

True. Both Demon Souls and DS1 deserved a remaster more than DS2.

I think there are like 1000 legal problems involving Demons Souls rights that would make it impossible to make a remaster happen. The game was lincensed but a bunch of different publishers on the different regions and Sony kinda sorta owns part of the IP and From and Bandai Nanco, its a mess.

yesssss!! of course... do it!
