Forums - Movies & TV - Fantastic Four 2 no longer on Fox's release schedule

I liked the first part of the last movie were they were setting up the fear, doubt, darkness that the kids had about their new powers and the scene were Reed left Ben... Cause that was something different then we had seen before.. But then they said forget about it; one year later and let the action begin!

What? This is the best entertainment news of the year. The sooner F4 it taken away from Fox the better. While the F4 franchise might be permanently crippled in movies, there are several characters tied up in that deal which would be great additions to the wider MCU. So I really hope Fox is finally going to see sense and let Disney buy them out of their movie rights.

This is great news.

Sarcasm, sarcasm.

There was a good film there, hammered bellow bad decisions. There were rumors of heavy cuts of footage here and there, reshots of scenes (Mara even wears a fake looking wig in some of them) and I think the director didn't even direct the ending. There is a story of fuck ups behind this film.

One more thing to be thankful for on Thanksgiving.

Fox shouldn't even be making superhero movies in the first place.

Totally 100% serious actually.

Nope, I knew lots of people in here (an outside) hated this film so I was using sarcasm on how sad you all would find this news to be. :)

Remember when Michael B. Jordan said that people will go see this movie anyway, despite the racebending?

Clearly, racebending had nothing to do with the commercial failure of this movie. So why did you even bring it up? This movie was a PoS confirmed by the opinions of reviewers and many people who actually wasted their money by paying to see it. The race of any one of the characters had nothing to do with the shittiness of the movie.

To me the biggest miscast was Miles Teller. I've never rated him as an actor, even in good movies. And it was completely wrong to cast a young person in the role of Mr Fantastic. It was a cyncial appeal to the Youth audience, and it failed miserably.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Awesome. Now let Marvel handle the franchise to make any decent movie/show. I'm not asking for a masterpiece but, god, that movie was beyond awful. Marvel certainly knows how to manage their franchises and I think F4 would be a great addition to the MCU.

Oh no...what will we ever do...

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.
