Twilight princess is my second favourite legend of zelda game and i'm so happy that nintendo are remastering it in hd for the wii u. However it did have some nagging flaws and while my overall opinion of the game is very high it could've been even higher if not for these flaws. The complaint i hear most about this game is the barren overworld but for me the biggest flaw is the difficulty, especially the bosses. A little elf boy with no visibly apparent muscular strength is swatting his much larger foes like flies. The bosses look intimidating and totally badass during the cutscenes and during the build up to the fight but they were all bark and no bite because it turns out that they were pussies. This is especially true of the lakebed temple boss who during the last phase of the fight refused to attack and just swam around waiting to be defeated. I hope they nerf link, increase the damage he recieves and reduce the window of opportunity where link can inflict damage to make these bosses and  regular enemies a bit more challenging in the wii u version of twilight princess.

That's my main gripe with Twilight princess what is yours? What is the one thing that you would choose over all the others? I also must emphasize this is not a Tp bashing thread. It is just a discussion about the main thing we would change in order to make this game even better. I would give this game a 9/10 because despite some irritating flaws it is still a tremendous game.

EDIT: By wolf bug collecting (in the poll) i mean the part where you have to kill the bugs in the twilight realm to fill the vessels of light not the insect collecting you do for agatha to obtain the large wallet.

Honestly, my biggest complaint is the Temple of Time. I think it's a terrible dungeon. It's super linear, you go back through the whole thing for the 2nd half, the item you receive isn't really that great, and continuing what you said, the boss was way too easy, and felt like way too much of a pattern to beat.

That said, still my 2nd favourite game/Zelda ever.

I'm just facepalming that they used all their remastering bullets for this generation. They should've paced remasteres like Pokemon every 5 years, instead of a remaster every year. This is definitely a case of too many remasters imo.

I just found the world to be a disappointment. Hyrule Field was pretty big and open, for riding Epona, but there wasn't much to do there. It just didn't feel very alive or engaging like Ocarina of Time's Hyrule Field, yet it also lacked the feeling of "open world" that Wind Waker's Great Sea had thanks to the little narrow paths connecting the broken-up, larger field sections.

Thankfully, from what I've seen of Zelda U so far, it looks VERY alive and engaging, just waiting to be explored. Plus, it's truly open world this time.

But for TP, I really wish the field had more of a purpose. After Skyward Sword and the Zelda Symphony, I'd also LOVE to hear Twilight Princess' excellent soundtrack be redone and fully orchestrated. #WishfulThinking

Upcoming Games To Get

Definite: Kirby Star Allies (Switch), Mario Tennis Aces (Switch), Fire Emblem (Switch), Yoshi (Switch), Pokemon (Switch), Kingdom Hearts 3 (PS4), Monster Hunter World (PS4)

Considering: Fe (Switch), Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze (Switch), The World Ends With You (Switch), Ys VIII (Switch), Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition (PS4), Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Remix (PS4), The Last Guardian (PS4), Shadow of the Colossus HD (PS4), Anthem (PS4), Shenmue 3 (PS4), WiLD (PS4)

Last time I played it, I think it was a little too safe, by sticking to the OOT and WW formula.

It's been a long time since I last played TP though, and I am willing to give it another try with the HD rerelease.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

It's fucking boring.

Too easy. You could kill everything way too easily. Other than that I loved just about everything about it. But man, especially with the nunchuck spin and IR aiming, you could plow through just about anything with ridiculous ease.

Not much really, I love that game

Hmm, from memory, I felt the dungeons were rather easy and kinda uninspiring, Zant was such a huge disappointment, and the final boss fent disappointing as well. Also, it felt kinda boring too.

However, that one boss with the spinner is so EPIC! x )

I will be trying the game again to see if my feelings remain the same.

Out of everything mentioned on the poll

-The bug collecting segments as a Wolf don't bother me. The only part where I'd say it's tedious is when during the third time in Lanayru, one of the bugs is located in Castle Town, which requires you to go there, then come back to Lake Hylia.

-The enemies are easy to defeat, but it doesn't take away the fun from me at all. I prefer to have a challenge, but I don't mind games being easy (if it has good design).

-It's the same as the difficulty of the enemies. I'd prefer an overworld bursting with content, but it's not the end of the world if it isn't. But to be fair, the majority of 3D Zelda games suffer from the same problem. The only 3D Zelda that I have been eager to explore the overworld of is Wind Waker (I can't comment on Skyward Sword because I haven't played it in a while).

-I can agree with the small item usage issue. Items that didn't see a lot of usage were (for me): The Gale Boomerang, Dominion Rod, Ball and Chain, Spinner, Iron Boots, Fishing Rod, Water Bombs, and not to mention the utterly useless Slingshot.

-I don't dislike the intro at all, I don't dislike the linearity, I don't see how this game is too similar to Ocarina of Time in the slightest (Built off of, yes. But not too similar), I don't understand what "Ganondorf gatecrashing the ending" means, and I don't mind the motion controls.

My biggest complaint of the game, is the lack of a fleshed out world. In my opinion, Wind Waker, which had the same hardware constraints as Twilight Princess (along with Twilight Princess likely having a longer development cycle), has more of a fleshed out world than Twilight Princess. In Twilight Princess, I never felt that I really knew any of the characters, while in Wind Waker I have.

Can't wait for The Zelder Scrolls 3: Breath of The Wild Hunt!
