Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Forbes: Wii U-Only Zelda Game Would be a Mistake

Forbes is right.
They need Zelda to be a NX launch game.

Forbes doesn't have a clue about gaming in general. Lol

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Zelda Wii U has the highest budget of any Nintendo game in the history of the company. There's no way that it will only release on the worst selling Nintendo system (and one of the worst selling systems PERIOD). This article is correct, it would be a mistake to do so.

With one of the best attach rates!!

I wouldn't be mad if that was real, in fact that's what I think since they delayed it.
I don't really care where it's released, just please no more delays, my heart can't take any more delays xD

I think NX needs a new NX-only Zelda game.

U realize if Zelda U is only on Wii U than it will be like 2021 until NX gets a Zelda?

Yes a burn all the 10million people who bought a wiiu, some just for Zelda U, that would be a great business decision, not!!!

Why would that burn Wii U owners? They can still buy it on Wii U.

Yes its pretty obvious we have another twilight princess on our hands, doesnt take a genius to work that out.

If the NX is fairly powerful and has 3rd party support, then losing 10m and gaining 20/30m or maybe more would be a great decision still. If people love Nintendo so much, why would you want your favorite company to suffer, doesn't make sense to me.

I think his point is, that it's better to gain 20/30 million on top of 10 million rather than losing 10 million and gaining 20/30 million.

How can you gain 20/30 million. When Zelda sells on average 4.5 million copies. Which is why putting it on Wii U wouldn't be stupid. The attach rate is high with Nintendo games, in the first place. I'd easily see 40% of Wii U owners buying Zelda. Or 20% will and 20% will buy Wii U, for the game.

Weirdly written article aside, I would agree that it would be best for Zelda U for be best to be cross platform, that way they can do the best for both worlds, and still net profit for Ninten.
