Yeah, right. I'm sure you did that to protect them. Also, thinking that women cannot be independent - isn't that showing that you don't believe in equality?

I don't hate Islam - I'm just pointing out how it doesn't fit in a secular, modern world. I mean, just going by the laws in your country, there's no freedom of religion and women don't have the same rights as men.

I agree with you. In a situation like that, it's survival of the fittest. If I manage to get into the lifeboat, there's no way I'm giving it up to any other man or woman.  It may sound cynical and "unmanly" for some, but I value my life more than an unknown person's life, even if that person happens to be a woman.

have you ever a though if the woman at the boot is your mother , sister or wife, girlfriend?

That's why I clarified and said an unknown person. I would've made sure my family members were safe before hopping on to safety myself if possible.

You didn't ask me, but here's my take on that:

I know them and I love them. If I give my life for them, it is because I cherish them, not because they are women. If I'd give my life for the women I cherish, I would also give my life for the men I cherish.

and if there is no one in the boat that you know close only strangers,  in near death momentt whose is the person that you will remember first, your mother or the man that you cherish for?

Equality in this cases is very easy, we all have the same rights. If there are 100 men and 100 women and only 100 can be saved, I say 50/50 is equal so it's very simple. But in this cases the "women and children first" is not seen as sexist so it's hypocritical.
Now to make it even harder imagine that 50 men are gay and 50 are straight and the same with women. And add to that that 25% of both groups gay/straight and men/women are african american. What do we do? xD

It depends, if this man I cherish for is my best friend, of course I'll remember my mom first, but if this man I cherish for is my dad, then I don't know. Can't imagne myself "choosing" or logically predict who would I remember first, but If it is my mom, I'm almost certain it wouldn't be because she's a woman.

Woman and man is different we respect them with the same right but not the same way, in this case i think it's about our own moral choice not some rule choice.

it will be different from one person to another, if you grew up with both your mother and father you will easly choose your mother, because mother is closer to their kid physcologicaly, while if you grew up without mother ofcourse you will chose your father, or the other way around for grew up without vfather, but woman have benefit when raising children, because God made the woman full of love. It doesnt mean man doesn't have love, it's just they are diffrent.

These days you would probably need a season pass or other subscription to be allowed into the lifeboat. The good news is both man and women can buy them, so issue solved i guess. Either that or you need to watch and ad of 30 seconds before stepping into the lifeboat.
