how about we try our best to just let everyone who can go on?

Let's say there's four spots left. 3 children, 3 men, and 1 woman are super close to the boat while 4 women and their children are incredibly behind.

Do you just say "GENDER EQUALITY" and push the men off? No. Go for the people that will most likely make it and survive.

Your logic only works when you are talking about cattle, you cannot talk to a human being and say that I'm letting you survive this boat sinking... because I expect you to go and re-populate the world, honestly if you are considering something like this I'd take some time away from walking dead/fallout type scenarios because those are the only times you're going to want to gather up your harem for breeding.... because it's 2015 and suggesting that a female has to be the choice made here because she (along with a male) can be bred, is sick.

If only we were about to be extinct for such argument to be valid and if being a "real man" was about making yourself disposable, it wouldn't be funny.

Why because in Islam we respect woman and kid high, so i respect woman and kid most, and also because woman is fragile and different from man, woman is different from man , it doesn't mean woman is not equal in human right it just different, we cannot treat man and woman on the same way.

In Islam,  we married them because we protected them, we give them a life waranty by giving them house and dignity, because woman cannot live forever without some one who protect them. " We take responsible by giving them a formal married not treating them like whore (one stand night) ". Lol you seem hate Islam so much, i hope may Allah guide you to embrace Islam

I agree with you. In a situation like that, it's survival of the fittest. If I manage to get into the lifeboat, there's no way I'm giving it up to any other man or woman.  It may sound cynical and "unmanly" for some, but I value my life more than an unknown person's life, even if that person happens to be a woman.

You didn't ask me, but here's my take on that:

I know them and I love them. If I give my life for them, it is because I cherish them, not because they are women. If I'd give my life for the women I cherish, I would also give my life for the men I cherish.
