If you wanted a PS4 with "proper" hardware this gen (whatever that means), then you'd be shelling out alot more than $399 for it, and because of that the PS4's dominant lead over the X1 would have went right out the door along with all the good will Sony worked to achieve towards the latter half of the 7th gen...

The 360 got me back into gaming in a big way when I first picked it up, and it's by far my most played console since the SNES days.

It can't be understated how important online gaming was last gen, and although other companies like SEGA had already successfully introduced online gaming to console players, M$ was the first console manufacturer to get it right when Xbox Live and all of its features were fully realized on the 360.

Happy Birthday 360 : ) I had fun playing fun zombie scenarios on Halo 3 with my friends. Zombies moving at sonic speed and jumping 50 feet in the air, or slow sledge hammer invisible zombies were sooo much fun x D

Why? If the PS3 dominated last gen with a high price, then it would've dominated this gen as well, not matter the price. Also "proper hardware" means dedicated GPU.

Not to go off topic, thank you 360 for confirming that cheap is sexy and subscriptions are awesome.

Amazing console. Have had an Elite since it launched in 2007, but it sounds like a jet engine and the disc tray doesn't open occasionally. Other than hardware issues, the console was great.

When my PS3 died a year and a half into the gen the 360 was cheaper than buying another PS3, their online was also popular and fine tuned with more games than I wanted over the years, also made a good chunk of friends over the years and it was probably my favorite gen for switching over. X360 definitely got online multiplayer done right though.

Hands down my favorite gaming machine and memories are with the 360. Surprised MS isn't promoting this milestone more.
