And better gameplay. Frankly though, nothing can save this game. The producer is the problem.

Paatar said: No. People always complain about horrid GamePad support. And now that Star Fox is offering it, people say get rid of it? No. The graphics look fine and will get better. Sure they could look better if the GamePad was dropped, but in 10 years what will you remember? The "amazing graphics" that would be outdated by then, or the awesome GamePad support that lets you play inside the cockpit? Pretty sure the GamePad support. |
More likely the Gamepad will be hated because the screen will be displayed on the TV. On a future console that won't have a screen controller anymore.
I'd want it remove. But that's because I don't care about the gamepad. It would of been nice if you didn't use it, the games graphics would increase.
Bristow9091 said: I won't be using the second screen anyway unless it's mandatory, like you NEED to use it for certain sections of the game or whatever... |
There have been several sections of gameplay shown so far where using the Gamepad screen is mandatory.
I wouldn't mind either way as it's still in 60fps for both options

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

Definitely, ofc, that won't happen.
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
I don't care about the graphics, they look fine to me. But I would rather play without the GamePad features. So, uh, can I exchange the 2nd screen for... nothing?

I agree with you as far as Nintendo needs to recognize that graphics are very important to mainstream gamers these days. Most of their first party titles this gen don't even push Wii U's modest hardware all that hard. Still, I'm gonna be pedantic and take issue with "almost always". They've been in the hardware business for 30 years, and only gave up the graphics arms race in the last 9. |
NES was the most powerful system released in 1983. SNES was the most powerful system in 1990, and made some really impressive looking games for it using the SFX chip. N64 did many things better than Playstation and Saturn, and blew them away in 3D graphics with the RAM cart, and was only really held back by its use of cartridge technology. The Gamecube was more powerful than PS2 and was only really surpassed by the Xbox, which was RIDICULOUSLY powerful for its time. GBA was a very impressive handheld for 2001.
So yeah, "almost always" isn't really correct.

God willing.
