No. I'm a sucker for new gameplay mechanics, and everything that is, in some way, new, must be before the graphics. I think it's a good idea to keep that cockpit view in the Gamepad, and seeing the video gameplays it seems necesssary for certain missions (like the stealth ones). I'd gladly sacrifice graphics for new gameplay mechanics and an active and different use of the Gamepad any day at any time. I think the obsession with graphics nowadays is not very healthy for the game market.

No, this will likely be the only interation of the game to use it so it'd be interesting to see how it works. Going by Developemet time this game was never going to look mind blowing anyway

No the mechanics employed look intriguing.

I voted yes. I couldn't care less about the graphics but the Gamepad looks like it's been brutally forced into Starfox' core gameplay. I'm worried using the dual screen setup will be a chore and make the game less fun - it transforms the game from a fast paced arcade shooter into a slow paced puzzle style game where you constantly try to keep track of two things at once. And I'd prefer them to focus on other things.

Surprised 35% voted no.

Nope, no need.

Absolutely, yes. The game looks bad, really bad, and the gimmick of the second screen makes the game less fun to me. It's not the same as in splatoon or mario maker where the second screen is awesome, in this game I see it more as if they felt the obligation to use the second screen to justify the gamepad in the wii u as to say "we've seen some incredible games using the gamepad, games as Starfox, Splatoon, Mario maker... games that couldn't been done without the gamepad".

I wasn't really getting all those complaints about the visuals of this game, I even said I liked it, but after seeing Star wars battlefront on ps4, god I hate those games, but it looks awesome.

Nintendo has almost always been behind in visuals and it's about time they do something about it. If next console is behind the ps4 as well they will sell like shit again. Graphics is not everything but when you do the best games (my opinion) gameplay-wise you could also try to make some effort on the visuals and then people would look at Nintendo in a completely different way.

If the new control scheme actually IS fun then I would prefer that over the graphics.

Otherwise I would choose the graphics.

Looking at Starfox Zero, I can only see a very cheap game : very low poly, very simple textures. simple effects and lightening, very aliased and simple shadows, no physic, no costly artistic direction, the game is slow, etc.
So, perhaps it's really by accident the artistic (starfox super fx style) and gameplay (dual screen) choices both lead to a very cheap and graphically-wise awful game, but I'm pretty sure it would take a lot more than removing the 2nd screen to improve significantly the graphics. It would take a better, bigger team with more time.

People that think otherwise should wonder what if the 2nd screen functionality doesn't turn out to be good ?

If it turns out to be bad at least better graphics would certainly make for a higher quality experience ...

If a critical game mechanic turns out to be bad, then no amount of pretty graphics will save it. "Being technically impressive" does not equate "higher quality experience." If what you say is true, then the graphics were still irrelevant, because the game had far greater problems than mere visual.
